Anyone have this where you dream of great movie ideas or story line or quotes and then as soon as you wake up you forgot it all. I write books ( 2 are done ) and movie scripts, ( 4 outlines, 1 complete ). In my dreams I have moments where I picture a great line and then I tell myself I should remember that and when I wake up I KNOW I had a great line in my sleep but I can NEVER remember it. I think that sometimes I'm a genius in my sleep and I think it has something to do with the way the brain works, for instance I usually do my research for my essays 2 days before, as in I search for quotes in books and info etc. But of course 60% of my essay is me talking, and I almost always start writting my essays around 6ish but it's not until 11 I actually start thinking of decent stuff and then only at 2 and 3 a.m. do I actually start writting good stuff, I fall asleep around 5 and wake up around 12, I print out my essay and read it on my way to lecture to hand it in. I get stellar marks on all these essays that I write very late when I'm dreary and tired and I read em afterwards and I surprise myself. Sometimes when I spend writting my essays from the afternoon around 3ish and finish around 10 or so, I get sorry ass marks and in honesty I don't feel very good about my work. Maybe I need to be tired and sleepish or in my sleep and set an alarm every hour or so to come up with great ideas. Or am I just a snobbish asshole in my dreams that I admire from afar?
You might be trying to tell yourself through your dreams to start doing what you dream about. I always dream about having or getting weed. Or random things involving my friends and I or with people I've never seen or met before.
I had an enjoyable dream about scoring weed a couple of months back; My two friends and i were driving through the lanes (we had to go a long way) on a steamroller! On the way we had to stop and fill in a huge puddle at the side of the road and talked to the local farmer about it. Eventually we arrive as it gets dark and we score but this guy is asking me if i want to listen to his pearl jam album, so just to be polite i listen and pretend to be interested at least. So i woke up thinking , -what was that pearl jam stuff all about? strange
Anyone here like pearl jam? I ain't too keen on them, they're ok though. Well when i was younger i played guitar in several local bands, R&B, blues rock, jazz funk, all sorts and i was fairly good ... people seemed to like my playinng anyway. I even got asked for my autograph once ... that was funny. But one night i had a dream i was on a huge stage playing impossible duets with eddy van halen. I was brilliant! A genius in fact yes. I must have been linking into my 'inner eddy'.
I've woke up in the middle of the night with brainstorms lol. then drifted back off thinking i'll remember them again on rising....and could i remember them, could i frigg!! usually theyre written down for me, or whispered echoes... Then I wack myself for not noting it there and then.
well i did have a dream where there was this anime playing on a tv in a supposedly vacant appartment and it was about this anthro fox that was kind of like a freelance spy or something. i mean the appartment as built into the hallowed out trunk of a tree too. i didn't go in there, i just saw it through the window. i do remember wierd names and words sometimes, and even, one time there was part of a lyric, "... ride form paris into pelarmo, on the brand new maglev express ..." only it was to the tune of that beatles thing off the white alblum, "... the man in the mac, said we wish you success...", i forget the name of it. anyway i woke up humming it and it took me a while to figure out where i'd heard something in this world that had the same tune. =^^= .../\...
I have an idea for you. Tape yourself when you sleep and you might say a quote out loud. I talk in my sleep and maybe you do as well. In fact the other day my friend said that I was talking extremely fast and rhyming and he asked me what i was doing and I said I am trying to talk to you while I sleep.
hmmmm....well just wait until your about to fall asleep and turn it on and just cross your fingers. Or if you have someone who can do it for you?
LOL, I think it's rather hopeless, I was just stating that my best ideas come from my subconcious. Best way to weed em out would be for me to set alarm clocks for 2 hours at a time, on days I don't need much rest.
