As some of you may have noticed in some of my other posts, I've mentioned that I have this book called 'The Giant Book of Dreams'. This book contains over 10,000 meanings of dreams! It's really worth going out and buying it, but if you arent THAT interested, I'm more than happy to help out! =] So, if you have any dreams, or nighmares, that you're curious about just post them up in this thread and I'll see what I can do for you. To make it easier, I'll let you know that the book is written in 'Dictionary-Format' so if you're going to post, try to let me know the main topic. For example, if you had a dream that you were drowning, you would tell me you were drowning, not that you had a dream of water - pretty straightforward.

dreams are SUPPOSED to be a little strainger then any cookbook interpretation of them, because the mind NEEDS these little mini-vacations from the narrowness with which our waking hours are all too often surrounded. so while sometimes maybe they are our subconscous, screaming that it has something important to tell us, most of the time its not, and even when it is, i have to take with a very large grain of salt, this notion of each of our internal symbologies being all that 'one size fits all' universal. =^^= .../\...
This is true. Usually dream symbols are personal, one thing or situation in a dream can have various meaning depending on who the dreamer is. Or at least this is Freud's view of dreams... but I find it quite accurate. I do have a small dictionary of dream symbol meanings, and there are some sites online as well. These are interesting too.
To dream of sand warns of famine and possible losses. To dream of clear water foretells that you will joyfully realise prosperity and pleasure. Nothing in this book about malls or escalators, but according to my girlfriend she learned in her psych class at school that dreaming of an escalator means you're running from a problem and there's only one way out, up or down? Lol. Hope this helps! =]
To dream that you have a strange vision warns that you are likely to be unfortunate in your dealings. If persons appear to you in your visions, it foretells uprising and strife of families or state. If your friend is near dissolution and you are warned in a vision, he may appear suddenly before you, usually in white garments. Visions of death and trouble have such close resemblance that they are sometimes mistaken one for the other. To see visions of any order in your dreams, you may look for unusual development in your business, and a different atmosphere and surroundings in your private life. ok mindseye, i am a BIG believer in dreams meanin' something,..so maybe u can help me out....... ok first, i am having GF trouble...(7yrs together + 1 kid)...i had a dream we were walkin' down my old street... i put my arm around her, and she pushed it off......there were 3 other ppl there that i dont know (or at least recongnize).... then another guy came and she grabbed his hand...then they kissed... i (in the dream) was just frozen with shock... and i kept looking at the guys boots!!there was something about his boots....if ya book mentions any of this i would appreciate any info.... thanks man peace, love, and happiness for all
I had a (low level lucid)dream of a bright orange snake once in a tree. I walked past it, noticed it looking at me, I wasnt scared as in terrified, but a little awed non the less. I turned round and decided to walk the other way(just in case!!)...this is strange dream for me, because i quite like snakes, however,,, the colour orange to me is the most difficult colour for me to vizualize if i do any visualization techniques, and at that time of the dream, I was heavily into meditation and vizualization. I have just recently read the colour orange being linked to the 2nd chakra. Perhaps the dream was trying to tell me to unblock this chakra?? any thoughts??
Interesting dreams both of you. budsmkr69, i had a girlfriend once and she went off to her works christmas party. That very night i dreamed i was at her works christmas party and she was kissing a guy right in front of me. Yeah, that sickening feeling of betrayal. Well, we were splitting up that week as she was moving away a few days later but it turned out that the last weekend she spent here she had a guy staying with her for a couple of nights,... he'd travelled 200 miles from london (where she was moving to) to spend the weekend with her, a guy i had never actually met but knew from conversation with this girl, that he wanted a relationship with her. She was hiding this from me but i found out anyway simply by visiting her flat/apartment. ... so to me the dream was showing me something that was hidden from me. But it was no biggie, ... our relationship wasn't a good or loving one anyway. She was needy and i was just available and it wasn't working anyway. Do you think your GF may be seeing someone else behind your back? Or maybe just attracted to someone else? ... Someone who wears these boots? - people generally change their daily clothing but wear the same footwear most of the time. I hate to be pessimistic about your dream but i have found that sometimes dreaming connects with our survival instinct showing things we NEED to know or things which are hidden from us which we would do well to know rather than remain decieved. So again, i'm sorry to put a downer on it but i could of course be absolutely wrong. What does your intuition tell you? edenfield, yes orange is sexuality and vitality and creativity. Perhaps the tree represents you ... your hara with chakra points, and the snake (there's the kundalini again) indeed, perhaps not suggesting a need for releasing blocks, but that blocks in your sexual center are being released and healed? Or maybe that the tree is you and the snake simply represents kundalini and it's fiery (orange) energy at work within you, the tree?
hi i had this dream last night were i was hanging on to a wing of a airplane as it was taking off i felt like there was no room on the plane and i was getting more scared the higher it got plz can u help
Well, unfortunatly there is nothing in my book about this. But my personal opinion? I could be wrong, but, my guess is that you just dont trust her. Do you have a trust issue with her? No clue, not my issue. There are some things in my book about shoes, but nothing specific to what you mentioned. Sorry I couldnt be much help! I believe that not all dreams can be interpreted by a sign that would be in a book like this, I think this dream you've had was more personal and the dream was created out of thoughts from your subconscious mind.
I'm really just in agreance with Liquidlight's post. I'm sorry this dream you've had was really too in-depth for me to find something about it in my book. As I've said in my last post for the other guy, I really think that was quite a personal dream and nothing in this book could help you. My appologies, hope you figure it out! =]

i had a dream involving vines and the walls were alive, like inside an animal, had veins and shit there were huskies and snow in it too
