White Minorities

for me it depends on where you are in the city. you have white areas, black areas, and a few with both. my area has pretty much everything though haha. one thing i notice more and more not just where i live but elsewhere, asians i see more and more.

 

I think the amount of ignorant PEOPLE surpasses the amount of good hearted and intelligent ones in any school, state, country.

 

I don't think it makes you racist if you speak your observations about general traits of an ethnic group...it might make you ignorant as well, but not racist. everyone is a little bit racist; you can't really get around it. it's the latent racism that makes a white person more horrified when a little white girl is murdered than when a little black girl is murdered, and why the jena 6 incident got hardly any media attention.

the mistake we make in labeling someone as racist is thinking that their descriptions of that race are descriptions of their inherent nature, when mostly they are just descriptions of what that race has been relegated to. blacks might have a higher percentage of criminals for example, but it's just a result of oppression from whites dating back to forever ago. whites treated them as inferior, as criminals even, so they acted as such. it's the same thing when other whites judge me as a spaced out pothead, I don't really care enough to convince them otherwise, so spaced out I am. kinda the same thing, in a way.

but every culture feels superior to other cultures, every person feels superior to other persons (as a rule anyway). those that are honest about this get grouped with racists of a more extreme nature as one in the same. I think being overly sensitive to racial matters is counterproductive to racial equality

I think you should speak for yourself. I dont think any culture, my own included is superior than any other, there is NO such thing as a "superior" culture. Most of the time I can appreciate things from another culture a lot more than my own and the though of this is better or this is worse never crosses my mind, there's no comparison of quality, just interest.
I dont think Im superior than anyone, I dont think Im superior or inferior than the black, white, asian, hispanic guy asking for change in the street or the rich white, black, asian, hispanic lady on the train. To think of yourself as being superior than anyone is just a sign of insecurity.

when i was going to school thats uk there where like 8-15% whites amongs blacks and indys there where fine but i still preferred to hang out with whites dunno just probly have more incomen with them.
and i cant ignore that black guys use to give more problems than any other race but afcorse it dipends on a persone most of them where cool nice people but others where just the biges dickheads i ever meeat in my life thats racist i know but it is the fucking true thats what my life experience showed me so called me racist a dont care

 

autentique: I agree there is no such thing as a superior culture; I tried to express that there are exceptions to what I was saying, you seem to be one of them, and I like to think I am as well. my comments about every culture feeling superior is regarding the status quo, not human's true nature. throughout history the thing I said has classified the majority of civilization, and I believe our true nature is overcoming that tendency and to unite with the rest of the world as one entity. it's just as prevalent today, but is not talked about and in most cases is not even consciously thought of by most people. I think you know what i'm talking about: the xenophobia people radiate at the same time talking about racial equality. it just seems like people try too hard or overcompensate..

Ok, then I guess by your definition I am racist. But by no means do I feel superior to those races. I feel superior to the scumbags of the race, but I know there are those from any race that are superior to me.

Where in CT are you from, I'm guessing New Haven, Hartford or Bridgeport?

My school was like 94% white, and oddly enough the black and mexican kids that were there tended to be more white then the white people.(They were basically all hippies)

However the kids that were bused in from the city, they were ghetto fabulous.
