But I would like to. My friends told me that acid was a stretch for a first trip, so just for something to think about, what was the first thing you tripped on, and how did it go? This should help, I suppose... thanks?
We welcome you to Mushroom land, tra la la la la, la la la, la la la  haha first psychedelic was magic mushrooms for me when I was just a year younger than yourself, so, 7 years ago. I tried LSD after I believe 3 mushroom trips, probably around 3-4 months after my first, and they are not worlds apart believe me. LSD lasts about 1/3 longer and the visuals are much stronger, while mushroom trips in larger amounts can be much more introspective and dreamy visuals. However, taken in the right amounts, mushrooms can be MUCH more intense than acid, though many of the posters here will be quick to disagree. Just remember that we are all different, we all react differently to certain chemicals and we have our own natural immunities and sensitivies. Good luck and have fun Lizzie, namaste!
I think mushrooms are a good phase one because the trips are generally shorter. If a person's not ready for it acid can be quite the long night...
Thanks! Well, it's soon to be summer vacation, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of time for both. So far shrooms are more appealing, and I'll keep what you said, guys. Haha, soaringeagle, that sounds like it was a crazy day.
you've never tripped before? Its fun! You go outside and you put a bunch of sticks, tires, glue, silverware, tacos, and a bunch of other shit in front of ya and your bound to trip eventually. Seriously.
Most of the mushies we get around here are terrible. I've only had them work once and while they were fun, they weren't as fun as acid. My body is peculiar in the sense that mushrooms do for me what E does for most people. E has a dopey effect on me. More sedated. Like oxies. My first psychadelic was acid so maybe thats where my preference comes from.
Why thank you kindly chugtonio And Shapey, thanks for the warm welcome, I think it's this Spring weather hitting the NE US that's bringing the Love! Im one of those late Winter seasonal depression kind of guys  Seriously though the thread content here has been picking back up, as it always does this time of year. Namaste
Acid was my first and I gotta say that I think it was a wonderful experience. I enjoy the LSD experience more because to me it feels much more natural but again as it was said, these things come down to preference. I still enjoy mushrooms on occasion and it's fun to do with friends who are weary about acid. But if your not ready for a psychedelic experience it could be one long night. If you have a good frame of mind you should be just fine.
first time was acid and i loved it...jsut keep postive and im sure you will love it too..nothing to worry about, just be comfortable
i honestly can not remember ~ either lsd or shrooms dont think it really matters ~ you have to try both anyways
My first trip was about 40 years ago, in college, with a couple of friends. I had no idea what to expect and the first 4 or 5 hours was absolutley a blast, lots of laughing at all of the cool experiences (walls waving, hands tracking, intense colors, etc). Then got into some psychotic thinking, thought that I had actually gone crazy and I would never return to "normal". I started thinking that I needed to go to a psychiatric hospital, I needed to be put away. I had officially "gone crazy" in my own mind. I was scared. Then my friend gave me a thorazine which brought me down and I was fine. Took it several more times within the year and it was good. Several more times in the 5 years after that and it was fabulous. Then I became a psychologist (wouldn't you know it), a husband and a parent. I became "responsible". So afraid of my children "getting into drugs". No psychadelics for 33 years until 2 years ago when my sister turned me on to MDMA and mushrooms as an adjunct to personal growth work. Both were used in the therapeutic setting many years ago. The most profound experiences and healings happened. Turned both my children and wife onto the healing power of mushroom work. Profound changes and healings in our family. Now I am ready to experiment with LSD again in this phase of my life process. It's all about God now, all about the moment, all about here and now, love, forgiveness, spirituality, etc, etc.
my first psychedelic was from 2ci... very enjoyable. I think LSD would be a good first hallucinogen. Just do your research and be responcible about it. It will be a great time by the way, I was your age the first time I tripped and loved it.
