Seriuosly though i mean you can OD on alcohol (alcohol poisoning) but with weed you can't OD not that i know of
Yeah it's bullshit. One day though.. one day.. we'll all be able to smoke a blunt on our back porch without any bullshit.
History of use more than anything. Both should be happily legal along with everything else. Politicians are staaarting to look at it sensibly though so that's something.
Yea. And when you get drunk you cant drive, or see straight. But when your high you can drive, and see perfectly. Alchohol is the true american killer. Not green.
Absolutely, dr frylock. I mean George Washington was a marijuana advocate for pete sakes. It would be a great asset to the U.S. economy in a time like this. For it to be illegal is stupid. It's all about money and politics.
No body seemed to mention the main reason: "TAX" ?? Marijuana cannot be taxed as easily as other drugs: alcohol, cigarettes.. any one can grow it and make profit. But to make your own liquor or grow tobacco you will need a license. I believe Marijuana will eventually be legalized.. just a matter of time before politicians can start making money off it.
government studies have shown an increase in car accidents with marijuana use. dosnt make us look to good.
you'd be amazed what a "government study" can conclude based on a few statistics. that's the beauty of statistics, you can intentionally mislead or deceive your audience without actually lying about it. my favorite example of this is the following statistic: "Students who received a D or lower in school are 4 times more likely to have smoked marijuana." This is a brilliant use of words because what they want people to hear and what the statement actually means are entirely different. What they want people to hear is, "If you smoke marijuana, you'll get a D." Unfortunately the statement demonstrates absolutely no causal relationship between the two. Nor does it imply that those who were previously doing well in school are no longer doing well after they tried marijuana. It's more of a statement about those who are less academically inclined rather than a statement on the drug itself. It's frustrating to hear statistics and words manipulated to portray a predisposed biased view of a topic. Even more frustrating is that people actually believe it.
^^ Well put, I would add but it's busy at work and I keep losing my train of thought when the phone rings.
