As of now my favorite Jam Band Song has got to be Jessica by The Allman Brothers Band Its so chill. Name Some of Your Favorite Chill Songs Or Jam Band Songs Or Even Just Kick Ass Songs That You Like!!!!!! Wake & Bakes Kick ASS!!!!!! peace&love
I am partial to 3220 blues. But I also like Soulshine and Jessica. Casey Jones is a damn good song too.
I also did a wake n bake and am listening to last years Bonnaroo superjam with Queslov John Paul Jones and Ben Harper.
wow, "of all time..." one of my favorites is definitely "Harry Hood" by Phish. specifically the one from the Great Went. there´s a certain part that gives me goosebumps every time i listen to it. it´s fucking wonderful. i havent been listening to too many jam bands lately - mostly just bluegrass. but i LOVE hard-driving instrumentals. it gets beyond ridiculous at times.
too many choices too many choices. I'm partial to Desert Dawn by SCI, but any other day I can put on something else and get equally as into it.
Can anybody Recomend a good Umphrey's McGee Song? I am going to see them at the end of July with STS9 and I dont know much by them.
Your best bet is archive.org go for entire shows not just individual songs. 10/31/07 was a great mcgee show as was 4/5/08 but I haven't checked to see if that one is up yet.
well... first off Scarlet/Fire is probably one of the best jams of all time.. hands down... if ya lemme stray into jamgrass... then Rambler>Steep Grade, Sharp Curve>Rambler Reprise is definitely my favorite jam...
I need to see me some yonder soon. I missed WSP wednesday night in Cincinnati. Galactic opened for them and I am severely pissed. Last time I saw them Dirty Dozen Brass Band opened and their set was epic along with DDBB sitting in for superstition. Find 10/1/06 and check it out.
There are a few 30 min + "You Enjoy Myself"s by Phish that make me split open and melt...mmm another amazing one. Anything by Phish pretty much...
This is dificult to pick...all i can do it narrow my favorites down. Grateful Dead may 8, 1977 Dancin' in the Streets Scarlet>fire actually... the whole show. String Cheese Incident- River Trance
anyone who likes jammusic should buy the closing of winterland dvd of grateful dead. the last show at the legendary winterland venue in san francisco on new years eve of 78 or 79. they played from midnight to 6 30 in the morning. 3 long and beautiful sets.
Umphrey's Mcgee - divisions one of my favorite songs. fav jam song of all time...thats a hard one phish - david bowie
