I been following my menstrual cycle for a while now, and though its not syncronious with the full/new moon, when it is, I develop worser symtoms than when its not. Has anyone else noticed this lunar phenomenom with their cycles? And is there anything natural I can take to ease the symptoms?

Prior to me going on Yaz, which I can not believe I am on bc, but I don't want to get pregnant at the moment, my cramps were not as bad when my menstrual cycle was synchronized with the moon cycle. I used to have major cramps, but the yaz is really helping me. It is awesome how much the moon effects our bodies!

our bodies have so much water in them, the moon controls the tides of the ocean. so it must have some effect on us. Brains too.

argon, thats amazing...i work in a dementia unit and the old people there on a new moon and full moon go real crazier than normal round about two or three days prior. its never a suprise to witness collective mania rising on these days...as apposed to just one or two on other days. well all that water we must have generating a small ocean together is enough to convince me.

I think the loony stuff is a coincidence, because people can act crazzy when they see a full moon on due to the fact thats its a folklore phenom. but really people are no crazier than that of the moon or sun...

the menstral stuff thats a lot more factual... since theres more biology involved than just stories in your head..

    I absolutely have noticed this.

New moons make me cranky. Full moons make me balanced again. I ovulate around the new moon.

So pretty much my month follows the seasons of the year. I have a wonderful sumer(1 week) and then three weeks preparing for, having and recovering from winter. GRRRRRRRR!

But yes, the moons absolutely affect me. Some may say its folklore. I worked in a hospital for a spell and they even confirmed an increase in craziness on full moons.

We are all just universes within ourselves. All that is without, is within as well. Why wouldn't the moon have a pull on us as it does the water of the ocean when we are made mostly of water.

I believe if you keep a accurate record of your flow you could compair them to the weather and the earth and get real results back. thats pretty meaningfull,, is being cranky mental though, your not going to get locked up in the loony bin for it but if some one pisses you off you might pull thier nutz over thier heads I gues we still need extra police for those type of women out there for that. lol...

Considering the moon effects the water of the world, tides and all, and effects our body similarily I do not see the reason physical changes would not lead to mental ones. Infact, I am much too aware of the fact physical pain can lead to depression, and vice versa, mental stress can lead to physical pain. Our body's and minds are not a seperate entity. If the moon can effect us physically, then it would effect us emotionally/mentally.

Traditionally woman bled during the time when there is no moon. The dark moon was the one we bled in sync with. The full moon has it's own set of powers though, and considering we bleed following our ovulation or luetal phase I do not see why the full moon would not the prime factor in it. However, the full moon has always been considered mystical and powerful so I can see where the tradition became distorted.

I got my period last night, I am not sure what phase the moon is in. I am going to check that. Interesting, it's a few days from full, so I guess I'm out of sync traditionally but not by neo-tradition.

oh i notice the new moon to be the worst at work. the old people there cannot even see it because its daytime..coincidence or not there's something to it. planetary movement has been awed in the past for some reason or another. I doubt they were fascinated because they were pretty. Uranus alignments has been shown to effect our communications on earth and effect our volcanoes and plate-lines due to the magnetic field and gravitational field lines,,,and thats Uranus, more more distant than the moon.
I hope we get more venus!! love love love ohh

On numerous occasions I've had really strange ridiculous days and later found out it was a full moon. Much thanks to the woman who started this topic. Very interesting indeed.
