Very few feminists do spout anti-male rhetoric; it hasn't been fashionable since before you were born. But regardless, and despite what you think, women do have more to complain about. You act like we have equality and they're "going too far". That's bullshit, it has no grounding in fact at all, and your citing of the odd piece of anecdotal evidence proves precisely fuck all.

Most feminism these days, and for quite a long time before these days, is concerned more with the cultural architecture of society; with how women are subjugated by hegemony rather than by individuals. If you actually gave a damn about this subject, you'd look into it and realise that pretty quickly.

Fact is, you're in denial, seriously in denial, about your heritage. And that's fine too. No man, not even you, is directly responsible for the culture that he and his parents and their parents were born into. But that doesn't mean you get to talk all this bullshit and insist women are trying to get special privileges. You don't seem to understand that a lot of what you're used to, as a man, has come at the expense of women. Equality requires sacrifice of male privilege, there's no two ways about it.

I know I won't change your mind, but I really would urge you to look into what feminism actually is before you slate it. You guise it as attacking feminists rather than feminism, which would be a valid argument; however, if you're going to make that argument, it would seem savvy to at least mention feminists who you don't consider to be irrational, grasping, money-grubbing whores now and again. Well, the genders are different. By that token, it's likely that a person would have a preference. I prefer male company, not just sexually but because I find the male psyche easier to deal with socially. But it's a long way from that to saying that men are superior.

I found that "but some of my best friends are women!" clarion call from argonmatrix highly amusing. None of my best friends are black, but I'm still not a racist.

Your second point is correct. I was merely illustrating that it is meaningless to cite your many female co-workers (not friends, by the way; "co-workers") as evidence that you don't hate women. You can't avoid them, so it's irrelevant. Maybe you have female friends who are "saints" (see below), but it still doesn't prove much. Anecdotal evidence, my dear boy. Feminism hasn't "achieved its goal", nor does it even really have a singular goal. Feminism has, as I said, evolved since the point that you appear to have trapped it in amber for dissection, and its goals have changed. Feminists still seek equality, I assure you, and I speak as someone who actually reads feminist critique, rather than assuming I know everything about it just from a few anecdotal observations.

In my home we are equail in value.. one can not be, without the other.. we are PARTNERS, both with equail say. we have been happy for 23 married yrs and 30 yrs all together.
