yea they look great, glad im not using wax =] tho to be honest if u hav curly hair like I it is really anoying to dread sometimes, wax looks good to start but in the long run is bad.
To get rid of the sticky nastyness, it took about 3/4 good deep cleans. But still finding small bits of wax in the very tips of some dreads. I've found washing up liquid on the tips of "infected" dreadies really gets the wax out cause washing up liquid breaks down grease, which is essential what wax is. But they're just over 17months now, and I can't feel any wax in any of them, though I'm sure there are tiny bits lurking aroung that I may never be rid of. Although I can't see that as too much of a problem.
In short... I found this forum a little too late, but I got straight on it, and started removing the wax. It's taken a little over a year for me to feel like "I'm happy the wax is out now". Which is a long time. Basically, a warning not to use wax, and a warning to people that have used wax, and that want to get it out... it doesn't happen overnight, and its whole lotta hassle for what its worth. That wasn't particularly short, but nevermind!
washing up liquid being what....dish soap? ivree suggested pure essential orange oil before since that dissolves even glues but never tried it myself but what do u mean by cleanning up liquid ? a brit thing?
