He was a sensitve caring individual with the soul of a clown which forced him to blow it at each crucial moment. Or so I've been told.
He always came across as an arrogant asshole to me. Probably because he was. I love that move The Doors, it's awesome. He was a poet but a jerk. I love his work, I don't know about him though.
Jim Morrison..hmm..he was an incredibly intelligent, intellectual individual. Like others have said..with or without alcohol. He was incredibly wise beyond his years...a true inspiration.

i just had this argument the other day with my friend. i think jim morrison was an absolute genius. he was so very smart, and his poetry just explains in itself how amazing he was. even though he drank all the damn time, that didn't get in the way of how intelligent he was.
I wouldn't call him a genius myself, but he wrote some awesome stuff and he was an excellent performer as well, and a drunken baffoon too. So what? His good right!
