That is the best thing I have ever heard. If that had happened to me I would probably not have had the presence of mind to pretend I was making a phone call on a cassette tape... I love it. I had an ex that attempted to stalk me, but people wouldn't drive him all over looking for me...whew. Then he ended up in jail anyway I think you should get a Sesame Street phone and talk on it like Stewie Griffin..."and tell Cookie Monster I'm not speaking to him until he gets out of rehab..."
agreed i mean, it sucks hairy balls that your phone got stolen dude... but maybe you shouldnt leave it out when there are sketchy people around?
I do leave my car unlocked because theres nothing worth stealing in there in the first place.. if they want to rummage through my car they can go right ahead. at least they arent breaking the window to get in. and shroom, i know i didnt lose it because when i would call it they would answer and hang up. then they turned it off. i waited a few minutes and called it again and they did the same thing again.
I did that once. The guy who stole my friend's phone actually called the provider to try to get a charger at their local shop so that he could use the phone more. He called a lot of 'call girl' type places. We cancelled that account so that he couldn't run up anymore expensive calls. Initially we thought that the phone was only misplaced. Otherwise we would have cancelled the account sooner. .
I had another friend who had her purse stolen out of her car while she paid the clerk at the gas station. Another friend had her purse stolen that was near a counter where she worked. Someone reached over the counter and got it while she was distracted. I always tend to be alert when there are two or more people who seem to be working together. .
Supermarkets are another bad place. A couple will work as a team. One distracts a lady about something while the other snatches the purse or money out of her shopping cart. Some of them are very skilled. They will open a large purse and take out the smaller purse with the money in a couple seconds while their accomplice distracts the person. The person doesn't know that the money is gone until later. .
Aw, I was gonna tell you to call them, but you already did. Right on, Jerry, pre-paid phones represent!!!! Virgin Mobile here. And hotwater, get off your damn high horse, he was just describing the customers who came in when it turned up missing.
I went to the phone store today and they told me they could not look up my dialed numbers. I was curious to see who the thieves called. maybe i need a subpoena or something like that. (which i will not waste my time with.) oh well. i bought the exACT same phone too. now i have two chargers. if i choose to look at it in a different light, i could say instead of my phone being stolen, I simply bought a $100 dollar phone charger..
Last time my cell was stolen, I had calls made to Haiti and Finland. I can't figure out whether the perp was white or black. That highly upsets me.
that is some bullshit you can get your phone records, but you have to make a police report on your phone and if you push hard enough it will lead you to your phone,, but if its a $100.00 phone fuck it, you live and learn... deativate the phone but if your carrier has GPS, see if they can trace the phone.. you have to have some high end carriers and your phone would likely need to be used in a crime for them to go after it on their own... other than that they say just buy a new phone..
I agree. I mean, you have to reprogram your whole goddamned phone and wait like 12 hours if you get a new one. Not like cingular. You can just switch the SIM card. Ah, simplicity. Plus, in my training, I was told to try and help customers, but not to try too hard, because most of their money is made from business accounts and the individual consumer really didn't matter a whole lot.
