ya ya I know, but I'm actually goign to give this a legitimate shot. What do you think the best way to go about getting a doctor to prescribe it is? I know they're administerd for learning dissabilities, narcolepsy, eating disorders and supposedly there's a handful of kids who just got their Rx by saying they had a hard time studying and needed something to put them in the zone. How do you think I should go about it?

Adderal isn't worth having unless you really need it. Do you have treatment-resistant depression?

I dont believe so, I'm not really sure if I really believe depression can be treated with meds actually. But besides all that, I like adderall recreationally because it keeps me away from coke. I know you probably wont agree with that being a justified reason, but its reason enough for me. I can feel pretty geeked off 40mg of adderall taht I can buy for $2. I'd probably spend about 80 to a hundred bucks on coke for it to last as long as $2 dollars of adderall. Then theres the comedown, if you've ever watched the sun come up while you're comin down you know how horrible of a feeling that is, I'd say probably the worst feeling I've ever had. Adderall....no comedown. Really though, I like uppers and adderall is the closest thing to coke that I've ever done, and not only is it really similar, its way way way cheaper and theres no comedown.

To get it you'd have to have a condition it's indicated for, and not have and contraindication.

No it's a history of drug abuse and drug-seeking behaviour ... if it's on your medical record it's a contraindication, but not an absolute one, which means your doctor could still prescribe it but would have to be extra cautious to. If (s)he was to prescribe a drug with a moderate/high abuse potential, (s)he'd ask you questions like 'do you use any drugs recreationally' etc. Obviously the answer is 'I don't use any illegal drugs or smoke, I drink alcohol in moderation but only with meals on the weekend' if true and you're of age etc.

Well then I guess I might be shit out of luck. I'm only 17 by the way. But last time i went to the doctor after he looked up my nose he made kind of a "hmmm" nose and looked around a little more and then asked me if I was using cocaine. Obviously I said no and he told me that it looked like I might have some damage to the tissue in my nose. Then he asked me again if I was sure I wasnt using cocaine and again I said, no sir. Then he started scriblling some stuff on his clipboard and continued with the exam. Would you say that would probably keep me from gettin the Rx?

It depends what he wrote down, and if it's still on your record - and if it is on your record if your doctor notices. He may not look at your whole history every time you see him. It may be a good idea to change doctor to try to begin with a clean slate. And this time make sure you're 100 clean when you visit your doctor! When you see a doctor, don't be so obviously drug-seeking. They've been through years of med school and are not stupid. Tell them what's wrong with you, and you may have to be patient ... actually you definitely have to be patient. He isn't going to start you on the strongest med .. for example if you're in pain you won't get IV diamorphine, it will be codeine, then if this doesn't work something stronger... and you'll work up. The same goes with most drugs. Becuase you're under-18 you're a juvenile so both police and medical records won't be as important - yes they'll still count against you but if you make the same mistake at 18 it will be far worse. Change doctors before you turn 18. Look on the internet for 'summary of product characteristics' for meds - this is what doctors look at to know the indications, interaction, side-effects etc. A major indication for stimulants is narcolepsy. You may want to look into this medical condition - perhaps you have it, and perhaps the weaker stims won't work so you'll need to be prescribed an amphetamine. ;)

    mmm....I like adderall, too

A friend of mine has a prescription, and what she told m they do is 1.) you have to go to a phychiatrist and 2.) they ask you a bunch of questions. She has ADD (or she thinks...) and so they asked her questions like"do you get destracted easily" and stuff like that.

^^ Inavacuum do your homework for the condition you 'suffer from' so you're fully prepared for any physical or psychological tests they give you... one of the reasons they do these tests is to make sure you're genuine; like going to an exam you have to revise and be prepared - in the right mood etc. or you'll fuck it up.
