Last year, I started a grow in an ideal plot. Decent sun exposure, next to a lake, and completely hidden from all. However, it didn't work out too well. About 10 plants sprouted, all of them died except for one and that one's stem was really thin and broke under its own weight. This time, I want to plant the seeds, and make sure they grow right. Is there any guides online that give a COMPLETE guide of growing outdoors in New England or can anyone give me a nice walkthrough of the outdoor growing process? I checked on the MJguide site and it didn't really help at all.

i assume you're unable to start the seedlings indoors due to security? If not, that's normally the protocol. Start them indoors under cfl's then transplant them to outdoor soil once they've got three or four nodes. Otherwise, lack of good sun prolly made the one stretch and die. or it was too early. wait till overnight lows don't drop below 55.

Yeah I might be able to do a tiny closet grow indoors, but other than that probably nothing.

You dont have to put them under a CFL. germinate then directly into whatever.

That is not what he is referring to. The OPs plants either had too little sun or too cool nighttime temps. By starting indoors, under a 65 watt cfl or two, the plants can progress past the seedling stage into a more hearty plant that can survive.

I have two blacklights. Can I use those to grow in the closet?

Invest in good soils and in an excellent grow location. native soil almost never works.
