    Some superb Blaxploitation soundtracks from the early 70's - Marvin Gaye:Trouble Man 1972 - Curtis Mayfield:Superfly 1972 - Isaac Hayes:Shaft 1971 - James Brown:Black Caesar 1973.The movies may not be great,but the music is.

Another one is Across 110th Street By Bobby Womack - 1972. The Title track is also the main theme from Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown.

I have the Shaft Soundtrack, and its excellent! The incidental music is super, and it has a funky feel from start to finish. Not to mention, the players on it arent just your average backing band!

Good call, there are some great grooves to be found among those cuts.

All those soundtracks are indeed great stuff. My favourite would have to be Black Caesar. Can't beat JB!
