I actually read that the Ball of John and Yoko got to #1 and that Give Peace a chance hit #2 behind it... I dunno about Come Together.
I like that list, oh, except I would take off Here Comes the Sun for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and "Let it Be" for "Across the Universe" add a lot more too, but, yeah can't think of them all right now.
Erm... you're right about "Come Together," but "The Ballad of John and Yoko" was a number one hit in the U.K. from June 11 through July 1, 1969.
