do you like beets?

simple question...

my answer is...i don't know...i've never actually tried them before....

 

i hated them as a child and haven't tried them since...

 

Sometimes.....and in small doses.

Eh, no strong feelings towards them. Their not bad. Kinda a sweeter blandness.

 

You have to have the taste for dirt.. now they go good with Goundhogs. But they still taste like dirt... so do groundhog if you dont cook em right..

 

i LOVE borcht (beet soup), but i loathe pickled beets

 

Yeah that's it. Sweet dirt.

 

Canned pickled beets? OMG! I could eat two or three cans right now.

You've got me craving them!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAH we don't have any!!! And the supermarket is closed!!!!!!!

This is the low point of my day.

I like brussel sprouts too.

 

How do you gross out the guy eating next to you..

Show him your dish of Liver, stewed beets, carrots, prunes and onions. yummy....

Haha, this is the second time, second thread i have heard that tonight. I'm amazed. They really were a great, prolific, underrated band.

 

i just glanced up and thought this thread was "do you like berets?"

 

you must be good at tasting wine since your pallets are tuned..

taste like grass. taste like dirt.. ect ect... but yeah sweet dirt... really a weird flavor very Healthy for you...

 

God no! It's the only food I really truely detest hahah. My family hates them too...we all had a beet eating contest once...the sliced beets from the can.

I got to three slices (I won) and then I gagged and threw up purple...which was hilarious, but very unpleasant.

 

But it sure BEETS throwing up something green....

 

I don't remember if I ever tried them. They looked so gross I just assumed they were...

 

i used to not like them when i was little. now there ok in salads with thousand. borsht is ok too. sometimes.

not something i'd ever want to try and survive on by themselves though.
