Well it seems that most of us are ok with sending Cat Stevens packing. As a country, we are known to be loving and caring of people in need, but do you think we should keep letting people in or should we worry about us, and us alone. FUCK everybody . One for all, and all for just us. What do you think? Where do we draw the line? Shouldn't we help ourselfs first?
No, we shouldn't 'help' ourselves first. If helping ourselves is sending peace-loving Muslims out of the country, "Hey, I don't wanna be right." I think it is a sick day when they wont let 'Cat Stevens' into the country to record an album with his daughter. Shame on you Mr. Bush!
Sorry to disagree with son. I am OK with him recording it in Britain. As far as I'm concerned, he can record it on a raft in the Atlantic Ocean. I think the mic should be put where the moon shadow don't shine.
I for one as an aging american think we should get our country on our feet first and get some reasonable medical coverage.. and health insurance..decent housing and food for the children and elderly.. to raise minimum wage to 8.00 an hour to pay the mortage/insurance/taxes/insurance/taxes oh did I mention TAXES and INSURANCE.. we need better schools and better jobs.. I live in texas and the illeagle alein population is 3 to one and they arent nice about it either.. my granddaughter couldn't go to pre-scholl because she wasn't hispanic or on welfare.. I pay high dollar school taxes and my gkids can't go??..I couldn't get a little help with some food stamps when my husband broke his back in the oil fields after 22 yrs of working(we had 6 kids) because he had workmans comp and they deducted that from his SSDI..and the non english speaking hispanic man that was in front of me walk out with 500.00 worth of food stamps and I got 14.00..I threw it in their face and told them they sucked and walked out..we should help when we have it to give but to give it all.. and us poor bastards working to support the world get spit in our faces.. thats a big can of worms to open..
Yes, it's sad the shape Amerika is in, but I think we shouldn't focus on 'America' but on our Brothers and Sister of this land. My beliefes are there should be no nations or boarders. It wont happen (soon at least) but it's what I believe. Sister, I wish you the best in life. Love & Light to you.
I know of instances where parents sacrifice themselves and their children in the name of Allah.. it's an honor to die in the name of Allah.. they teach their children to hate us too.. we didn't think we could be attacked from the air either.. but we were.. again..
it's all good little brother.. life has a way of evening out..I'm in a good place now.. physicaly speaking..my mental state however is a different matter intirely..I'm not tryin' to sike anyone out..I lived so much outside of the establishment and being right in the middle of it at the same time..I lived in n out of hospitals with my daughter 25 yrs and butted head with the bueracrats clear up to the whitehouse over medical aid womans rights and social security.. I was forced to go on welfare when my daughters father killed himself.. I had to have the medicade for my sick daughter and my son.. I was a single welfare mom for 5 yrs when I married my present hubby in 79..I have seen up close and personal how the wheel turns.. I had depended on my family for love and support and that's what's gotten me through the really rough times.. not the government..
In a 2002 essay from U.S. News and World Report entitled “Our Rainbow Underclass,” Mortimer B. Zuckerman brutally attacks the current immigration policies of the United States and attempts to provide possible solutions to the problems in question. However, Zuckerman’s conservative and overall implausible resolutions hardly suffice as appropriate actions to be taken. Although some new policies would in fact improve the nation’s current immigrant situation, most, if not all, of Zuckerman’s ideas on the matter could well in fact be detrimental to the entire country, further raping and weakening the ideals of the United States. Zuckerman claims that “a sustained national dialogue on immigration” is needed but insists that the nation’s doors remain open to legal, “skilled” immigrants. That seems understandable, but not possible. The nation cannot decide to only allow previously educated foreigners to immigrate. Also, the measures that would be necessary to close the nation’s borders to illegals are incomprehensible. It is an almost impossible task. Zuckerman also manages to cite the September 11, 2001 attacks as reason for immigration control. That is pure blasphemy. The fact that there are countless amounts of information pointing the finger at the American government as being involved in the attacks obviously did not catch Zuckerman’s attention. It is further explained that the Immigration Reform Act of 1965 “triggered an immigration explosion” that ended the “historic basis of the American melting pot.” Zuckerman relentlessly attacks the act, claiming that it was created out of politicians’ cowardice. An immigration explosion does not spell “disaster” as Zuckerman would have readers believe. How do more, diverse immigrants not richen the multinational society we live in? The fact is that they do. It is absurd that Zuckerman can condemn the decisions and lives of these post-1965 immigrants and actually label them as a “problem.” According to Zuckerman, schooling is the only way to succeed in our country today. He claims that with the lack of well-paid manufacturing jobs that once existed for the original European newcomers, schooling has become today’s ticket to a better future. However, education is not necessary for success. There is nothing wrong with working a low-level, physical job. It is called honest, hard work; something that Zuckerman is not likely familiar with. Many of the jobs that these immigrants take are ones that need to be done but are refused by the general American public. Therefore, uneducated immigrants are necessary to keep the “balance” that now exists. Zuckerman also attacks the fact that new immigrants, especially those from Mexico, are not learning the English language the way that previous Europeans did. However, Zuckerman also fails to add that the United States’ official, national language is not English. In fact, there is no national language for the country, making his language-related arguments utterly useless. The productivity of second generation immigrants is one of Zuckerman’s main concerns. He claims that the second generation is made up of children who “stop doing homework, reject their parents’ values, and succumb to the dangers of an overcrowded inner-city culture” while facing “overwhelmed teachers, limited social services, and a decaying infrastructure.” However, Zuckerman claims that while some do thrive in this environment, the majority do not. It is stated that due to the adoption of the “negative behavior pattern of their peer groups,” second generation immigrants are producing drop-out rates twice as high as those of native-born Americans. These are broad generalizations at best. Zuckerman can in no way conclude that immigrants are more likely to adopt negative behavior patterns than native-born immigrants. The nation’s environmental future is at risk, Zuckerman claims. He proposes that with the addition of more and more immigrants, our population is projected to rise to over 500 million by 2050, creating a number of devastating, environmental problems. However, a larger population could in fact help the nation’s environment. Zuckerman fails to realize that with a doubled population, environmental protection, energy conservation, and alternative fuel sources could very well gain momentum. These changes could in fact even reverse some of the damage that has already been done. Zuckerman concludes with the thought that in order to proceed we must improve schools, attract more highly-skilled immigrants, and “slow the process until an assessment of how the children of today’s immigrants will fare as adults” can be made. However, Zuckerman fails to propose how these actions should be taken. It seems nearly impossible to “slow the process” of immigration. How can we slow the number of legals entering the country and completely stop the illegals in a safe and lawful manner? It simply does not seem possible. What should instead be considered is how we will deal with the influx of immigrants, not how we will prevent it. Our nation was founded on open immigration policies, and this is no time to change that because the rich, white elite request it.
I think that we should help ourselves first. Like the Statue if Leberty says give us your tired your hungry your poor, but what about the tired, hungry, and poor in the US. There is plenty of people here in this country that are poor and out on the streets here, but does it seem like the government cares? NO! Because Amerika won't mind it's own fucking business it's always in the affairs of other countries. I mean I don't see why the US won't try and help us here before they go and stick their nose in another countries business. So I think they should help us before they help other
The U.S. immigration immigration policy is only good for business. It fucks the immigrant and it fucks the american worker. They say the economy is good when labor rates are low.Good for who?
That's why nobody cares about your opinion, and why it doesn't matter....I'm guessing thats why you were banned too. It was like that in New York....its a really fucked up system. From what it looks like, the system won't get fixed with either president...Kerry wants to create more jobs, but that doesn't have anything to do with the poverty-level pay that the unemployed get...well, that would lead to more jobs....I'm sorry to hear about your experience. There's been instances in the bible where parents sacrifice their kids to god...they hate us but not because of Allah, it is most likely because of the sanctions that the U.S. put on them that lead to millions of deaths from 1989 to 2000, then after that the deaths stopped being counted. The ones that hate us use Allah as a disguise, but that is not their sole reason for wanting to kill us. The U.S. country has made so many families extinct over there, and this war is only making everything worse. Its good for the employers, if the rates our low, they dont have to pay the hard-working people too much of their own money. Capitalist dickheads. Good job with that essay Derek, although I've told ya before
soulreb. I want to ask you if you have read the Qur'en..if you have not.. then you should before you make a statement.. it has nothing to do with sactions..it's in their bible.. we are the gentiles they speak of.. they indeed what us extinct..
I just wanted to say I'm sorry for wasting my/our time on a no nutt sack person like you. If you only knew how people disliked you but that's ok jack......Have a good life blackie's son.
Yes I was recently watching a documantary about religions and thats how they live their God says they shold kill all who does not beleave in Allah.
Yeah, they are commanded to kill non-believers (if I do recall correctly) but, they are also commanded to follow the laws of the land (just like the Christians. What do you think?
Well then, looks like we're screwed No, I am not serious and I do not have anything better to say. And no, I do not plan to read the Quran. I've read one bible, I figure the rest are the same.
From what I've heard(and read in the Christian bible), they both deal with a god, they say all other gods are wrong, they say whoever doesn't follow them is going to a version of hell, they say to look down upon non-followers, they say to launch crusades against non followers....there is endless similarities. Some are just taken more seriously than others is what it looks like.
