How did I screw up? AND HAPPY 420!!!

Ok I was trying to make cannabutter and I put a half a cup of butter and about a half oz of weed on some boiling water. Great that worked, now why wont the butter separate. I tried leaving it overnight and everything. No dice. I eneded up boling the hell out of it this morning and getting it down to almost all butter/oil. So I ended up getting the good stuff out I hope. Can anyone enlighten me as to what I did wrong? BTW God bless America and keep out troops safe. Get them home now! Peace out everyone.

as so far to your problem i cant help you out much sorry dude

 

You don't "boil the hell out of it". You just simmer it a little bit. Too much heat will kill the THC. If you're talking about the butter separating from the weed, find something to strain it. Hopefully you didn't destroy yhe THC though.

 

Lol topnotch I read boil the hell out of it and knew that this guy most likely fucked up. Hopefully you didn't just waste a half oz. of smokable bud because you couldn't spend 5 seconds searching google for instructions dude.

when u say put the butter and weed on ewwater and boil u do mean a double bioler i hope?
you didnt stick butter and weed in water and try boiling it away till the water was gone did u?


you tried the 1st try with a 1/2 ounce? damn

1st try malking butter why not try with a gram or 2 just for u then when u know what to do try a 1/2

u want low heat and not for very long
u want to be gentle with ity

That last one was what I was trying to do. Yeah I fucked a half an ounce of good weed. I did get some instructions but I didnt understand the whole low heat thing. The brownies did nothing whatsoever.

 

That's too bad dude. Live and learn, I guess.

 

When me and my cousin made brownies, we put a 1/2oz of ground up weed in some pantyhose(kinda like a strainer) and tied it off. Then we put the weed, panythose and all, in a pan with some vegetable oil and brought it to a simmer. We let it simmer until the oil was all brownish/greenish. Then we wrung out the pantyhose/weed to get as much oil out of it as possible, as some of it had soaked up ito the pantyhose/weed. We then discarded the weed/pantyhose and just mixed the oil into some brownie mix and followed the instructions on the brownie box from there.

It worked like a charm.
