Really, it was dying in 2000. She was taking more and more prescription drugs and her personality was changing. She left in March, 2005, filed in 2006 and it was finally final in Oct. 2007. I'll never have awoman in my life again; that part of life is behind me. I got 3 great kids out of it and two grandsons; so all is well. My life can now be dedicated to them. I have found the peace and contentment that has alluded me for many years, it's like a great load lifted from me. I have my home, my gardens, my health and my life. She recieved a handsome settlement and is out buying friends. If you can believe; has spent $80,000 in 6 weeks and has nothing to show for it. But that's no longer my concern. If in a few years; she is homeless, that is what she wnated. She could have come home from California and talked, but she had her 'pro-bobo' atty do the talking for her. She lost one thing that would kill me; the respect of her children. I could never take that. So April 30 of next year; I retire and will do what VietNam denied me; the Vagabond. I want to see as much of this great land as I can. Just me, a cat and the Pailey Palace
All I can say to you is. Enjoy your life as much as I can. Eat healthy and you shall live well. Sunny days are as sunny as you want them to be, so its all in your hands. And since you kids are all grown up, you are free as a bird. But, you can still meet women who are in the same shoes. They dont want kids, dont want money, just company. And I am sure if you present yourself, the odds are on your side to find a good friend! Good luck Bud!
Some people aren't as fortunate as you are. I'm actually very happy for you. Long lasting marriages that don't work and carry on into old age can be pretty terrible. Congratulations, friend!!!
