For the past 10 or 15 years a lot of people were trying to cash in on the glass pipes and bongs. I heard of a lot of hippies selling apprenticeships for like $2000.00 and saying they would teach people to blow glass and set them up to go on there own.

I don’t know anything about glass blowing but that might be an affordable way to get your feet wet?

I don’t think there is much money in pipes So many people are blowing them now days, seems like a lot of competition!!

Once I worked for a sign shop and the guy I worked with did neon signs he was telling me that Las Vegas has a lot of work and pays good money for neon sign worker. That might be another way to get your feet wet working with glass tubing.

I see some really nice handmade glass vases in some of the art shop windows if someone got good at that seems like there could be some money to be made, but art can be hard to make a living from.

This day and age most glass is made in factories so it might be a little tricky or expensive getting a job or apprenticeship actually blowing glass.
But you could always do car windshields (there is alot of money in that) and blow glass in your garage after work and sell it at art shows or on ebay.

Jeph, I was just in asheville and realized how incredible the town is. do you blow glass at a specific place? or do you just possess the skills and not do it for pay?

    thanks

Sheridan college in Ontario has one, I never heard of it until a guy I used to work with told me about it. He had just finished the first year and really liked it.
