I have a .38 pistol that my dad gave me about 16 years ago ... it has never been fired, not once. I keep it for sentilmental reasons.

Yeah, guns are fun to just have around. It's better to have a gun and more of them. It's good to have weapons and stuff. Stuff is awesome. The more the better.

    Its a fundamental right...gun rights.

I can't stand the mentality of the political left that "guns kill people". Let me tell you something:

    People kill people.

May it be with a gun, knife, their own hands, a rock, or whatever.

Cars kill people too, should we ban cars?

The reason it was constitutional (in the U.S. at least) in the first place was because back in the time of the Founding Fathers, it was believed to be fundamental to forcing the Government to be accountable to the People. Because the people would have the power/ability (through guns) to rebel.

But the fact is millions upon millions of people love hunting, and for people like me (I don't own a gun, but when I have my own place some day, I will get one), it brings me a sense of security to have it locked away if there is ever a home invasion.

I believe its an overwhelming fundamental right...the right for one to be able to take the steps necessary to defend themselves and/or others.

And this is so hypocritical, what about marijuana? Your arguments could be used by people who believe marijuana should remain illegal.

Guess what! Its gonna happen regardless, people will get a hold of guns, legal or not, and wouldn't it make more sense to have it legal with background checks, so we can take proper precautions with who has one?

The Government won't have a clue about any information about gun owners if its illegal.

See I used the legalization of marijuana argument for gun rights! haha

(I'm a Libertarian btw...socially liberal, economically conservative, I am a strong proponent of freedom/liberty, and gun rights, in my opinion, are attributes of a free society)

Lets take all the legal guns out of law abiding citizens hands and leave criminals with their illegal firearms and the government with all the guns. That sounds like a great idea!!! </sarcasm>

i agree with canucker, i fall in the sames lines as his political beliefs.

I am sure you love your profits. And I'll bet you own a lot of guns to protect your wealth, not to mention all the hollow politicians you and your ilk have purchased, while distracting the masses with issues like gun rights, church and abortion. You probably are laughing all the way to bank, while the poor pile on layers of clothes to stay warm during the winter, and wonder how they are going to feed the mouths they already have.

Nice Trekkie quote: "Nor have you, Doctor, as your continued predilection for irrelevency demonstrates."
