Now I'm not saying this because I support him, but if you want me to be honest, it will be McCain.

Democrats like to get their hopes up....sorry, but Hillary and Obama are killing each other, and the Republicans, by the grace of God, managed to get a moderate as their nominee who has wide appeal (unlike Huckabee or Romney) and I think it will be a pretty decisive Republican win for McCain...

and how bitter this Dem. vote is...I mean 20% of Hillary supporters say they would vote McCain if Obama is the nominee (and thats not counting her supporters that say they will stay home)

and 16% of Obama voters say they would vote McCain if Hillary is the nominee.

My friggin' god, the Democrat have the best chance in history to take the White House, and control congress, yet they kill each other in the process guaranteeing it to John McCain.

Oh well, maybe it will get back to the historical/traditional style of the U.S. having a Republican President and Democratic Congress...thats usually a good balance of both sides.

John McCain actually looks like a good Republican.

Now because of the two party system there's not much choice but I honestly think McCain will be the best Pres since Nixon.

And I know the comparisons between Reagan and McCain because of their policies and age but I remember Reagan, granted after his presidency but Cold War History is one of my most strongest knowledge areas, and with McCain you can see yes, a 72 year old man but he is articulate and nowhere near senility like Reagan obviously was.

Democrats especially recently have really pissed me off, Clinton is the model liberal feminist bitch, she loves abortion, loves it soooo much, fucking whore.

And Obama...well, he doesn't seem that bad but he wants to kill NAFTA so fuck him.

I've said already that I think it's going to be a whitewash because the majority of Americans will not vote in a black guy, not, gunna, HAPPEN.

    Because he's a liberal-socialist, like yourself?

That's because he reads off a teleprompter. You should see what happens when the teleprompter fails.

I thought McCain WAS the teleprompter. He talks like a wire is plugged into his back. He's on Meet The Press again and again regurgitating the same rhetoric of Bush about Iraq. He and Lieberman would make a great pair.

Unreal isn't it. This election should have been a slam dunk for the Democrats.

No...I'm a Fascist, a traditional Fascist anyway, read the works of Mussolini.

Although in Fascist Italy the mentally handicap/ insane people were not terminated but in the Doctrine you could definetly argue it would be the Fascist thing to do.

Frankly, I admit it, I am a Canadian, so what the hell do I care about the domestic issues?

For me as a Canadian the biggest issue is trade...free trade and NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) are paramount to Canadian prosperity.

The Democrats, both Clinton and Obama, are getting very anti-free-trade, and protectionist, so I hope to God, for Canada's sake, that McCain takes it...

Actually its very common of the political left worldwide...here is an article from a Canadian news source...

    more: http://www.cbc.ca/news/viewpoint/vp_mallick/20080407.html

Its pretty common worldwide, liberals like to kill each other, sending the moderates to the right end of the spectrum...

It has less to do with who is "liberal" or "conservative" and more about who owns the money. Obama is not our savior he never was he is a sacrificial lamb lead willing to sacrifice, if he knowing knew what was going on. And I think he did.

It's all about smoke and mirrors. We are supposed to mourn his loss, when the whole time it has been orchestrated. He was never supposed to win. It's been promised to McCain. Cheney has spoken.

That's really the only hope Right Wingers have nowadays.

In Canada we have the NDP and Liberals, and Quebec has always been mainly liberal but they vote for the Bloc for various reasons.

If it weren't for those 3 parties the Conservatives would be back to their 90s days...at the bottom of the barrel, sure the Reform Party had its foot in the door but it relied on fencers to give the party most of their seats and it was still a hopeless cause with the Liberals winning majority constantly.

I really do laugh at how the U.S. still uses the two party system, but in many ways it's welcoming because Democrats swing between socialist and liberal and many of their supporters forget to vote, so the Republicans continue to win, I mean common, 62 Million Votes....out of like what, 220 some odd Million eligible voters? That's not really a good win if you ask me.

Reform was too socially conservative for the general population to ever elect to government, and it was too based on populism, it swept the west by running on "Western Allienation". Explain to me how B.C. could elect a provincial NDP (near socialsit) government and a Reform MP in the same area?

    Populism.

And in the 90s the right was split between Reform and PCs, and now they are united.

So even though the Conservative Party doesn't have a huge amount of support (averages at 36% support, 40% on good days, 30% on bad days), you have the left-of-centre voters super-split.

I mean you have the Liberals, NDP, and Greens (and the Bloc in Quebec) splitting the left wing vote.

Which means all the Conservative Party needs to do is win over the moderate/centrist vote, and their set.

Canadians politics has changed for good. A United Right + a fractured divided left = Guaranteed Conservative Future

    ----

In the USA, you have Registered Democrats outnumbering Registered Republicans 2 to 1, but the GOP still wins...

Anyways I hope the U.S. goes back to the half/half scenario of:

    Dem President/Rep Congress

    or

    Rep President/Dem Congress

The best times in the USA were when it was a split. Reagan (Rep Presidency/Dem Congress), Clinton (Dem Presidency/Rep Congress). Forces them to work together, and it can't go to extreme to one side.

There's still a problem in this, I know personally many Liberatarians in the Conservative Party and they like me are waining.

The Conservatives should have more solid ridings, and by solid I mean solid right wing ridings, and not rely on too much moderate values.

The justice system here is still liberal to the core and that should change but the Conservative Party is too afraid to take a right wing stance on the justice system.

This pisses of a lot of Right Wingers and so they turn to minute parties, and there's a lot of them, if I were to take a guesse by the numbers the Party is probably losing at least 200,000 or so right wingers.

That vote I mean, there's a lot of Conservatives that don't vote, believe me.

In fact in elections where the turnout is 65%+ Conservatives usually get a good haul.
