Hello everyone! I am new to this forum but all ready you all have helped me out alot. Mainly because i just got my dreads a month ago and I used dread wax the day i got them and a week after but I have since been able to get most of it out, thanks for letting me know how bad it actually is. As I said I have had my dreads for a month now and they are smaller than I had wanted, I want to combine some of them together, I saw a post on here of someone who combined his dreads using a felting needle but im not sure as to how to go about doing that. Another thing that I wanted to ask all of you is my dreads are very frizzy, is this normal? There is alot of frizz particularly on top of my head. What are some things I can do to help the frizz go away and stick to some of my dreads?

Well if you backcombed your hair, then technically they're not dreads yet. I wouldn't go pokin through the hair yet, you have the rest of your life to let them get as fat as you want. Their still forming that's why their frizzy. But the frizzy is excellent for starting new knots. So the answer to your question is the answer to most questions, just give it time. Alot of time. Cheers

combining dreads only takes forgetting to seperate them

friz isnt a bad thing but if u gotta control it then use pure aloe gel

if u insist on forcing thenm to combine try a big bead or ring

personaly i try to keep mine from combining as much as i can cause u cant always keep em from doin it on theyre own and if u combine em early on and they keep combining over years ..well u could end up with 1 big dread..
if u forget to keep 2 as 2 they will wanna be 1
    no effort involved

Pretty much what the people above me said^. You probably shouldn't even mess with them at all yet cu they're most likely not really formed into actual dreads yet. They will still go through many changes. Some of them will probably even congo together as they get older. And you will most likely always have some frizz, even mature dreads still have frizz.
