I bought an Ipod Nano from a friend that doesnt want it anymore, and everythings good, but I want my own music on there and when I plug it up it says I need to update my version of Itunes. So I went to Itunes.com and tried to download the 7.6 version and half way through installing the version this comes up. "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program required for this to install could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vender." Wtf? what does that mean, and how do I get the new version on my computer??? Help me please!

A good friend of mine works for Itunes and has assured me that you don't actually need to update. It won't hurt your Ipod or your computer to use the older versions of Itunes. There should be a "remind me later" option. Just keep clicking that.

Try updating Windows. If Windows is already updated, try re-downloading the iTunes installer. It's possible that the file may have gotten corrupted while downloading.
