The social justice group at my school was supposed to have a "peace and justice coffee house" for an hour over lunchtime (which just happened to fall on earth day, that wasn't even planned...) The whole thing wasn't really properly planned and we never booked the auditorium, nobody knew about it and nobody was going to play music or anything.... So I suggested we move everything outside...so us and probably 60 people were there outside the school. There was a table with fair trade organic coffee and some snacks made by someone. We sat in circles on the grass under some trees and a few people played guitar. It wasn't anything big, but it was a great time... Sometimes things work out even better when you don't plan them than if you did.
^ sounds beautiful! =] I wished everyone a happy earth day, didnt litter (never do anyway, so meh lol), enjoyed mother nature, and smoked a helluva lotta "natural plants.
I planted flower seeds and 'other' seeds.. Planted flower bushes..transplanted and seperated bulbs.. I think Earth Day sould be everyday. I live inna paradise of beautiful gardens and amimals. We take care of them everyday so I say Earth Day is everyday for us. We have well over 200 animals to care for plus the 16 achers. I can think of no place I'd rather be. Bright Blessings sh
I don't think people should wait for Earth Day to be conscious of such things. Every day really should be Earth day, and everyday is Earth Day, at least for hippies
