How many of you all have jobs to support the herb?, not your whole paycheck but a slice to get some bud for the week, i know i sure would love to have a job and have some bud right now and money to spend on other things, so anyone wanna recommend some good first jobs to try out, im thinking fast food but damn thats stressful as fuck ahha, a coffee shop, like the drink coffee shop would be fun to. waht do you guys do?
I stock beer in a cooler at a liquor store and in one way or the other spend almost 100% of my profits on weed, accessories, munchy food, or entertainment for being stoned. Really though, I don't mind
McDonalds isnt to bad of work. But I would suggest doing something that you enjoy. Stay away from food service. Try to get into retail. They do a prelim drug test but thats it. atleast that is how it is here in NC.
yah, mcdonalds right down the road so thats a option, and hell yah i would probably spend alot of money revolved around getting/being high you know, like weed itself, cigs to enjoy fucking movies and shit i like while high haha.
this summer i worked as a window washer for residential homes, good money but wasnt any fun and my boss had like OCD everything had to be perfect. during the year i string lacrosse heads i learned when i still played and loved the sport but after not making the team 2 years in a row because the coaches are assholes ive stopped playing for my school but stringing sticks is good money so i still string and that supports me, and saving up alot of money for like 2 years when i didnt smoke so im pretty loaded haha
first job.....go around your neighbourhood and ask around to see if you can do some basic landscaping. taht's always quick, easy, tax free money. or even go around to businesses and ask if they need any manual labour done. i used to go around to law offices near this popular mall, and asked if they needed boxes of files moved around, or furniture. i'd make a killing and get a free lunch. these options are in case you dont' want a regular job, and something that allows you to choose your hours. otherwise, i know that if you get a job at mcdonalds, that will be good for your resume. (i've never worked tehre, but i've had jobs interviewing ppl. mcdonalds, and gap are two really good first jobs you can get, for resume purposes. but they both suck imho) food service in general is alright, try for something that involves tips. retail is good, cause you tend to meet fun ppl. myself, i work at an internet company. it's pretty big, but still small enough taht i'm able to get my hands into different aspects. on any given day, i could find myself doing custoemr service type shit, accounting type shit, administrative crap, photography, purchasing, or basic upkeep on our website. infact just the other day, i spent 1/2 the day in the photo studio, just taking product shots. pretty fun. but if i had to choose,.......when it comes down to it, i enjoy working with my hands. dunno how much longer i'll stick around the office.
ooh, another sector i forgot to mention. phone work. if you are able to put up wtih bullshit, don'tmind repetitive work, this is a good first job. your pay will probably be double of what you'd get at any retail store, or food service, and mostly you get to pick your hours. we're talking telemarketing, or telephone surveys here. anyway, this just popped into my head. i remember doing survey work during highschool. it was great. all my friends worked there, we were stoned all the time, and we could pick our hours. and... i'm pretty sure we started at like 12-14 dollars an hour. of course this will vary from employer to employer, but this is a good place to get started. you will learn valuable skills, and make good money. only down side is you will be a telemarketer. lol.
My first job was at a grocery store make minimum wage of $5.85, my new job I'm hoping to get will pay $7.40 and you don't have to take a Ua so that'll be good.
I actually am looking into getting a job right now. I'm finally old enough to actually work in some places. I've been thinking about packing bags at my local grocery store. It pays minimum wage(7.15 in PA) and its not that hard work. Every penny of it would go towards herb and food for my room.
well, my problem is that idont have any references, because previous jobs well i've never had one, and no neighbor would help because my family arent well off with neighbors and dont know much people around here that would let me work for a reference. so a fast food place would be good since i have no references?
i work down at the local cv's. its a pretty chill job since most of us down there are all friends. the works not hard at all and we have fun fucking with customers from time to time
Yeah, i have pretty much the best job ever. My boss is constantly smoking me out wiht BC, I can do whatever I want with the shop since ive been there since it opens, get to boss people around, and bring in 13+ an hour. Whoever said food service is bad...your wrong. You can make so much in tips. I did 24 in 4 hours in tips alone tonight.
do you play a sport/ have a hobby? i used to like lacrosse (as mentioned before) and became friend with a local lacrosse store owner who offered me a job this summer stringing/working in the shop and learned to string and recently i have picked up rock climbing, which is a lot of fun and completely chill everyone smokes which is great haha, but i was offered a job at the climbing gym to occasionally help out with parties and what not, just find something interesting and do that
i valet at clubs. shitty hours (9pm-4am) but i make At least 20 a hour, usually more towards the 30 or 40 range depending on the nights. I cant spend all the money i make right now....
