why are you still interacting with someone who's obviously out to hurt you and damage you? who says nasty things about you, to you?

I would do your best to remove her from your life, but don't let her know that she's hurting you. She seems to enjoy having power over you still, so remove that power from her. If it's necessary, then yes, change your locks.

If you're not ready to do that, then attack the problem head on. Tell her that what she is doing is unacceptable, and that you will no longer put up with it. Ask her why she still talks to you, if she hates you. What does she want? Be strong, stronger than she is, because she feels powerful and vindicated when she makes you hurt, because she's hurting too.

My wife and I experienced something extremely similar. When we got married, her Ex was constantly trying to call her, talk through myspace. Something about that journalism makes them turn nuts, apparently, as he was in that same degree.
