mussolini thought the better word was 'corporatist' which is what the u$ has become that constitution and bill of rights you mentioned? mostly trashed - especially over the last 7 years democracy is a sham here, plutocracy is the operating word doesn't matter anyways as they're selling the whole shebang to china
Well DUH. Not every country can have a guy like Ortega running it....and that's because not every country works like poor Nicaragua. The point is, like in Ancient Greece at least there is some form of public consolidation. Fascist would support an Olygarchy comprised of high ranking officials who are most important to the system, but in the U.S. the idiot vote is exploited, but utilized. I'm tired of people claiming China's the next World Power, it's hilarious really, China is an export factor, much like India, the difference being that China's past history works in its favor, World War II gave the country a permanent seat in the U.N. Security Council and it's reform programs and aid to other communist asian countries has put its trade market at the top. Doesn't mean China is as important as people think it is. But that's outside the issue. I really do wish America has a new big Party that gets out there and gets the votes.
when china come to collects on their outstanding loan and the u$ tries to give them its worthless money we will see apart from that . . . after four years of obama fighting congress to get anything done and losing it will be back to another corporatist admin 2009-2013 = 1977-1981 who will be their next reagan? woo hoo! you do not live in the u$, but i do [sort of, my part has seceded but nobody noticed] i can barely afford to eat any more prices on some basic foods have doubled in the past year my dollars are worthless it will probably be cheaper to burn them next winter than to run the goddamn furnace [everything crash] i ramble but i am cold and hungry . . .
they are all shady liars, but I guess I will vote unless the one I like right now (its a secret) does something & make me not like them anymore. I can tell ya right now won't be a snotty, stuck up republican
Nah, adolescents, ideally white middle-class hetero adolescents. People who see equality as an inconvenience, basically.
I'll be 21 in about 2 weeks. And I'm above middle class thank you. And what's your point? Poor people usually don't vote.
I agree. We may not like politics, we may not understand it and we may not care. But in the end it will always be there and the decisions made will be affecting our everyday lives whether we like it or not. I must say I disrespect those who stay at home and then whine about everything our government does. If you don't care enough to vote then you don't get to whine later on about the wrong decisions. You decided to stay home and think it won't affect you. But it does affect us cause we are the ones who choose the next goverment. So I think everyone should do their best to be a proper citizen and vote. And while you're at it, go for the Democrats.
No point really. It's nice that you're unapologetic in being a privileged white guy. I'm just saying that most white kids go through a phase of thinking fascism sounds awesome, because they don't have to think about the effects of it - whatever form it takes, fascism isn't ever going to be mean to them, is it?
the privileged do well under fascism it is a cozy relationship between government and private business in the extreme [think halliburton, think blackwater] the poor are left with enemies to distract them [jews or muslims, communists or abortionists, versailles or gay marriage] from the taste of their ersatz bread our little canadian friend should be mightily encouraged by trends in the u$ -- a stronger executive branch and billion-dollar election campaigns and whatever else i cannot remember at 5 in the morning [i just got up] demofascism?
No, I don't see this, most of my friends aren't rich kids to begin with, and I'm not exactly rich, my parents are doctors so they make several times more than regular people but they're not millionaires, and I work, but luckily I work on high paying jobs in either a lawyer's office ( multilingual here ) or PMs office ( which one I'll never tell ). Fascism is by no means populair, but because of my studies, I study languages ( German is almost done, on to Italian and I already know Russian and Ukrainian is a sidestep to Russian I understand most of it ) and Poli Sci, together and when I get my BA it's off to Law School. I read several religious texts and several political texts. To me, I have come to the conclusion that only Fascism because of its strict guidelines can work to its extent. Mussolini tried very hard to make it work in Fascist Italy, the problem was that country did not have the natural resources, trade power or economic base to support a Fascist Olygrahcy. But Canada is . An economic recession and things are looking good, you'll see. BTW, my political ideology has been like this: Age 12-13 Commie, Until I read the Manifesto and realized it was bullshit Age 13-14 Socialist, until I realize it was too flawed to work very well, and then there's New Zealand Age 14-16 Conservative, did some work for campaign etc Age 16-now Fascist So you see it's been almost 5 years, and I really don't see myself turning on account of reading various political texts already, and yes that includes John Locke ( douchebag ).
To be honest, money isn't that big of a factor. Other people brought that up. Fascism Nah. Fascism works until people get sick of it and find they don't have an avenue to express their frustration within the system. Capitalism, by contrast, gives them an avenue (like protest), but maintains control of that avenue in the way debates are framed etc. ... basically giving people just enough freedom that they don't go looking for any more. It's all very Machiavellian. You were an unnaturally politically active teen! Frankly, it lends more weight to my theory. You seem to be attracted to extreme ideologies, almost irrespective of what they are. It's like you want to be someone's bitch! Nah, seriously though, it's quite noticeable that you go for extremes. Fortunately, strong views like yours tend to be "cancelled out" by each other in the democratic process. I say "tend", they don't always.
fascism is capitalism on steroids capitalism has outgrown its usefulness so why would anyone want to stick a needle in its butt?
OMG, I can't believe the number of people voting Democrat/Republican in this poll! What a bunch of sheep!
I know eh! I mean I'd be surprised if there were many here that'll vote Republican, but Democrats are not that liberal and they're hypocritical as hell.
