I never understood it, b/c I only saw mismatched episodes on TV. I think the one they show is Ghost in the Shell. Plus they had all this robot technological shit, and usually I dont go for that kind of anime.

the ghost in the shell series was really lame... totally not worth watch on acid... but Ghost in the Shell.. the ORIGNAL MOVIE would be fucking fantastic! i love that movie, i know the entire thing from beginning to end by heart (english only) i did a remix of the opening theme at one point :) lol

the series made no sense in acordance with the movies. it was lame. except that there was a big blue bug thing that had sasami's voice from tenchi muyo... lol. that was nifty.

I meant the film-trilogy not the series.

Part of me really wants to watch a David Cronenberg movie on acid one of these days, but I don't want to get too freaked out. The first movie I decide to watch on acid will probably be a Miyazaki flick.

What!! GitS:SAC was awesome! I haven't seen the original movie since in quite some time, I'm sure I would appreciate it way more as I am now, but I think the series is definitely solid enough to fill the shoes of what came before it. And the big blue Tachikomas are hilarious.

Actually, now that I think about it, Tenchi Muyo might be great to watch on cid. It's not like it's so deep or intelligent or magical (like Miyazaki or Kon can be), but it's just kinda weeeeiird and offbeat (and anime). I used to watch it as a little kid, and it was all totally over my head.
