Wouldn't it have been smarter to release some of the Strategic Oil Reserve and put the brakes on all this ethanol exhuberance by speculators.

The fundamental issues underlying the current problems of our economy are large and deeply rooted, such that the entire stimulus package, whether spent or kept in the bank is NOT enough, to solve this problem.

Bush doesn't even have the brain cells to comprehend the scope of the matter, let alone figure out a solution. :jester:

The U.S. economy right now is in the process of de-leverraging.

United States of America is a sell.
Its money, its paper, its property, its labor, its stocks, its industries, its debt ¨C sell them all. :jester:

Or vote for those with connections with Dubai. I find the Clinton's Dubai connections much more objectionable than I find what Obama's minister had to say. But I am not sure Obama doesn't have money invested or receive money from like interests.

The best thing a poor American can hope to do with $600.00 is pay for gas to get back and forth to work for what 3 months? That really solves the real problem? But they may still have a job if they can afford to get to it.

The American consumer and Social Security funds.

    The cost of this war

    http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/170b-more-for-iraq-war-2008-02-06.html

The only reason we are still there is that the Iraqi government won't sign the PSAs so we lose dollars and children while the oil industry waits out the stalemate. And we never demand full disclosure. We fall for the old we are spreading democracy crap. And we can't leave until then. We can't leave until those PSAs are signed....that's the bottomline.

For most Americans, this is where the $600 rebate will go.

what a dumb ass bush is, he wants us to spend it on consumer goods which won't help the US economy .. TV's, Stereos, Computers etc (mostly made in China), most of us it is going to go to food, fuel or put in the bank (mine) not some frivolous thing that we don't need.

That 600.00 sucked out of our asses will go into his portfolio and all of those of his friends. Amazing isn't it how taxpayer funds can be funnelled to private interests. And their economies won't be affected negatively.

He's not worried about us spending it on consumer good or not. We can't afford to spend on goods, even food. It's going to the petroleum companies it's another windfall for them.

And yet the Left finds it so difficult to find support in this country, they're painted as elitist and anti-american and the average person is turned off. Wonder why that is? Usually when you call an entire nation of people stupid retarded brainless sheep and tell them they deserve for bad things to happen to them they are more open to your ideas, right?

coincidence that 3/4 of you are from california, oregon, chicago and not ohio, montana or new hampshire? I don't think it is...

I know, maybe some more insults and know-it-allism will help you reach those people? Be sure to throw in something about their weight and religion while you're at it, i'm sure that will convince them.
