http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoking_ban Don't know if this is true, but apparently the Nazis were the first to implement a nationwide smoking ban, in Universities and Hospitals anyway, in 1941 apparently. This is interesting and maybe not even true, considering it's WIkipedia but man, isn't that something? So now the Nazis were the first Anti-Smoking advocates. Wow. What does THAT tell you?
Um not really... Pro-Nazis were anti-smoking, wich doesn't automatically imply that being anti-smoking equals being pro-nazi....
As has been said, I'm a smoker personally, but I still see the reasoning behind smoking bans, the whole point of the idea being drug legalisation is that it's people's freedom to choose what they wanna put in their own bodies. I think that pubs should be allowed to be 'smokers' pubs/clubs/bars etc. But the general rule should be no smoking in confined public places.
It tells me that, under Godwin's law, you automatically lose this argument. (reductio ad hitlerum = FAIL.)
The nazis believed in eating food to recieve sustenance, does that make everyone who eats a nazi? Get a clue pal. I am for smoking in public places bans, I am so tired of going to see some bands play at a venue, and having to get my coat drycleaned so I can have it in my home without gagging. I am all for your right to smoke, as long as you(or the establishment that allows your kind to make my jacket reek) agree to pay for my cleaning. Until you can smoke with out violating my rights, go fuck yourself. I can eat pure lard, and it will never cost you a penny.
