Hello all i am always dreaming of living in a self sustainable commune and thinking of ways to starting a commune in near future but i am really fed up as none of my friends are intrested in this as they are all bounded by our family values and materialistic life which is gaining a lot due to the sudden economic rise in status of our nation.

I want to know is there any body in any parts of india who are really intrested in this idea or away from india who can share thier ideas to help me start this thing going

I've lived in India for 6 months, there are people doing this sort of thing. It's questionable as to how long you can stay in the country though. You can get a 5 year student visa by bribing the police quite easily. A lot of travellers fuck off their VISA though and just stay. You can stay in temples and places with the Indian people but you have to get to know them first. I want to live in the mountains for a few years later in my life.

South India is a slightly more dangerous place than the north, owing to the greater presence of the mafia. You are at the mercy of the police/mafia when you are there, especially if you want to smoke chillums. It can be pretty scary sometimes, I've seen the bastards in action and I'm fucking glad it wasn't me at the receiving end.

Yea, I'm interested. I have knowledge in water purification, energy generation/production and Psychedelic plants. Also I'm looking for a more intuitive relationships in a community - less talking and reasoning - more acting and pure intuitive understanding, drawing...
btw, I know very little about India, I'm form europe. But I'm planning a serious trip.

I think either a commune in India or Mexico in the hopes of creating a psychedelic commune is better than many other places. Send me a pm to if you want! India has always respected the cannabis plant, and Mexico has always respected the psilocybin fungi.
