Haha. I remember I made a thread with similar idea to this a long time ago. Had the title, "A wise man once said" and the body, "You are a fucking moron" or something along those lines. Most people assumed it was them either individually or collectively.

OSF posed a great question: Is the burden of information on the OP to state full and detailed information or on the intended reader to clarify and gain information they feel they need before assuming they understand what is being said. I used to disagree with his stance that the burden of information rested with the OP, and in many ways still do. Unfortunately, he was ultimately right: If you don't offer up full information, most people will never look for it and assume anyway.
