my mom has stopped using laundry detergent for washing her clothes and has proven it makes no difference to the end result. sometimes i do my laundry at their house and i told her i would stop using it too because i believe she is right but ive been secretly still using it. i try not to but i cant help it and i have severe guilt issues about it. although i do see that her clothes are not suffering i still prefer pyschologically knowing detergent was involved in my wash. im weaning myself off though gradually using a little less each time and eventually i will stop using detergent altogether. i just hope i can stop before it is too late. thanks for listening.
Ehh...I'd just rather have my clothes smell pretty than not smell like anything at all. That's how I know they're clean when I throw my pile of clean laundry onto my pile of semi-dirty laundry. You gotta tell them apart somehow!
Good for you, maybe we can create a support group for you. I'm just glad your not trying to stop cold turkey, the withdrawl tears people apart.
fragrances give my mother headaches and apparently the chemicals can be bad for your skin too. thanks C3PO.
as long as im opening up i should be completely honest i use laundry detergent sometimes to do my dishes.
well they need to get with the times because detergent is only used as a douche nowadays, not clothes washing, pfft, humans...
Are you saying she doesn't use any soap at all? Why not just use the unscented? Because if you're not using soap to clean your clothes, I think they're probably not getting clean. Oh, btw I'm addicted to it too. My prob though is that I use way too much.
yes she coudl use unscented but the clothes are clean ive witnessed the miracle myself also she doesnt have to use dryer sheets for some reason too because the soap still in your clothes is what makes them staticy.
I don't understand though. What gets them clean? Does she wash everything in hot? They might look clean but that doesn't mean they are.
I like eating brillo pads, washing them down with some draino gel I have learned that you don't really need soap in the shower. I just scratch myself all over, dry off and I am completely clean
