Can you see visuals better with glasses?

It has been years since I have done acid or any of the other psychedelics so it's hard for me to remember this.... Also I never wore glasses then.....

But the question is...If you had poor vision, and you took say some LSD, could you see hallucinations more clearly if you put on glasses?

Anyone know....or willing to try this.....in the name of science of course!!!

 

I tried that haha, with a friend who wears glasses, I myself have perfect vision and hers is pretty bad, and we usually take LSD together, we also typically take good doses so that we always have a LOT of visuals.
And i can say.. if I put her glasses on, the visuals get blurry too. It might take a while for the eyes to adjust, which I don't know as I only held the glasses up for like a minute. Next time I'll test it properly though. She also mentioned without her glasses her visuals are blurry.

 

yep if u got bad eyes, and ur not wearing ur glasses the visuals are blurry... kinda weird huh.

this is a very interesting topic. my ex wore glasses andits not like your visuals are blurred but that the stimulation for your visuals is less defined and more cloudy. you needed glasses to 'see' your visuals it would suggest that they are ouside in the world. some people here may believe that they are sensing things outside in teh world, but i am of the oppinion that visuals are all in your mind and more importantly are inspired internally from your sight and your feelings, and not by any sort of metaphysical layer of the world.

now see i wear glasses and i dont feel as if the patterns change at all whether i have my glasses on or off or whether i close my eyes.

of course my long range view without my glasses becomes skewed,however the patterns themselves that im looking through stay bold and clear,.. if that makes any sense..

 

yeah one time when i was peaking on some intense shrooms. amazing visuals. own of my contacts fell out. it fucking suckkkkkkkked. one eye was blurry visuals and the other was visuals. and everything was so weird. it was so hard to put back in. my eyes were all fucked up in the mirror.

 

this is an extremely great question, however i strongly believe everyone will be different. when i have my contacts in while dosed, my experiences actually seem less intense. i kno this for a fact. and anyway it usually just gets to the point where cev's engulf everything and the whole "searching for visuals" or "visuals are apparent, and are a concept still" just vanishes completely. it all depends on the different psychedelic chemicals your taking also. so for me, contacts out for trips.. im mean not like i can see anything anyway ( as far as depth perception goes and shit)wit pupils the size of a black hole.

how is it that people using/tripping on ayahuasca can see what the other persons are seeing... when they trip together. u should listen to Mckenna's works or read up on ayahuasca ceremonies... for example the shamans ayahuasca songs are shown to the people in shapes and colors... and everyone tripping can see the visions floating in the air. lol.

Dont know but one time I was tripping on shrooms in my dinning room and seen a dog a Pit bull looking dog walk thru.....from one room to the next...

a week later a freind of mine is sitting in the same chair tripping on the same shrooms
and said to me did you just see that dog? I said what dog, and he describde the same dog a Brindle pit bull.. Wtf..

But Ive aslo relized that the path the dog took is a high traffic area, Ive seen millions of creatures passin from room to room there isnt any other way around it?
also I boarded up a doorway once and angered a entity who got lost and contacted me to show it the way as I was sitting there it was a pressence an it was lost and need directions since there was no door there now. I pointed it out the way and entity never bothered to ask again. was a human entity. maybe a child since other didnt mind the change of the house.. This happen alot in my house since its soppose to be almost 200years old, it feels alive. I lived in a ultra modern condo and I felt like I was a fake human being and I couldnt grow as a human with my surroundings in the condo, this home has helped me come alive and Im happy to be in this old house..

did people in my home 100 years ago have a Brindle pit bull dog? I cant see them being that uncommon since The Lil Rascles had one.

Theres all these connections for us to keep asking the questions.

The first time I tripped on acid I was out with people swimming in a creek and wearing my glasses because my contacts were really bugging me after partying the night before. I went under the water and came back up, quickly realizing that my glasses were missing. I searched in vain for em but for the next three hours I was without contacts and everything was all blurry. It made me kind of apprehensive and I had no distinct visuals during this time, so if you wear glasses or contacts, make sure you are wearing them and have a backup cuz losing things while tripping is very easy haha.

 

The visual experience from these drugs relates directly to distruption of higher level integration of symbols, shapes and objects that the visual cortex organizes from the raw data it gets from the eyes. The eyes act like a camera, sending pixel-like info to the brain. In the visual cortex, shapes, lines, contrasts are organized into objects and symbols. With some drugs, this "highlighting" is not filtered out of our perceptions. The sharpness in the real world is key to this process, - blurry vision hinders the brain's ability to symbolize our environment, and the symbols are what get trippy.

I guess I kinda agree with kudosdc as far as logically what it means, although I would also say that maybe there is still more than "meets the eye" when it comes to these things.
