It's the first time I ever hear of Essure, but I went through Wikipedia and saw the following risks: Perforation, expulsion, or other unsatisfactory location of the micro-insert Pregnancy and increased risk of ectopic pregnancy Risks associated with anesthesia Pain, cramping, vaginal bleeding, menstrual pattern changes Nausea/vomiting, or fainting Vasovagal response Allergic reaction to the materials I guess it varies from person to person. Better ask a doctor.
