Please take a few minutes to remember those who died at Kent State on May 4th, 1970. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_State_shootings A moment of silence. at 12:22 Pm on May 4th will be appreciated. Thank You..
Yes Yes orison, and thank you, these are the true heros of our movement and times, they gave all they had for their convictions and got shot down by our own goverment for it. Please do as orison says, one of the kids that was killed went to the same high school as I did for two years before moving to Maryland. She is home now buried in a cemetery out side of Pittsburgh about ten minutes from me. These people should be honored for their sacrifice and the goverment should be rebuked and condemned for their murderous actions. REST IN PEACE we owe you all.Allison Krause (1951 - 1970) - Find A Grave Memorial this is a web site where you can check out Allison, please take the time to look. Thank You. Peace
Words fail to convey the sorrow our brothers and sisters fell at home and abroad they should all be remembered as Americans who lost their lives in the war
Sooooooo this is HIPPYLAND is it, where are you people, this is an important date to remember, and it seems no one gives a damn, well what more can I expect from you, and you people call yourselves hippies, I laugh at you. Maybe if we also asked the question how big is your dick you would respond to this. Never mind just go about your pathetic little lives, and those of us who are the true hippies will hold vigil and honor these people who gave all for what they belived in, never mind I can see you for what you are plastic. Have a nice Sunday, and by all means don't go out of your way to do anything meaningful, just forget the past and go measure your dick. Peace
Thats a bit harsh. While theres some truth to what you said, there is also some truth that this Forum section isnt as a popular as say Random Thought, While the dates of events at Kent State lasted 3 to 4 days. Since I was not there it may have been weeks of activities unmentioned that Im not totally aware of. While the link allows users here to visit the Site comments are not allways placed in post by visitors. The post will, also be moved to Stoners Lounge or Random Thought for more viewer as the 4th draws nearer, Like today.. Thanks for replying and its sad you were so close to a Woman, Allison Krause. That was also a nice addition to the thread you placed there.
I send my condolences to those who lost loved ones at Kent State and it really just goes to show how fucked our country is these days. This country was founded on escaping a government that would do this. However, As much as I would like to take a moment to remember the day this happened, I can't. You see, I am 15 years old and was not alive back then.
Ok you are right I lost it for a minute, but it is important to me. I should not expect others to see it as I do. You are right Allison bringes it all home to me. And it was a long time ago. So my apologies to all. Peace

This is a photo of the Prentice Hall parking lot where three of the four students died. Taylor Hall is in the background. Jeffrey Miller died near the perimeter of the parking lot. There are now four permanent stations in the parking lot honoring the students. The station for William Schroeder is seen in the foreground and Jeffrey Miller in the background. Lamps in the stations are lit up on the night of May 3rd. .
