Is great What I don't get is that if you're planning on going to a club why wouldn't you at least try to get on the guest list? It's usually free if you get on the guest list which means $10-$30 in your pocket that means 3 or 4 more drink or in my case, $10-$30 in my pocket! Guest list wooooooooooo!
Yup It's actually easy, just get the num or the website for the club and if they offer a guest list hop hop on it!
Don't be the sucker standing in line outside the club hoping to get in. Be the one who reserved a spot on the guest list and watch others get mad jealous as the velvet rope is unclipped to let you in, in front of all of them.
I never go to places with guestlists and/or entrance fees. That is $10-$30 in my pocket on a daily basis.
I waited in line to get into a bar once or twice. Mostly because the girls ahead of us were fishing through their purses to dig out their IDs.
ya fuck guestlists. My idea of a nice night on the town is going to a mellow bar with fewer people in it, opposed to some loud, heavily packed place with insanely priced drinks and people with fake personalities.
I've never seen a $30 cover charge in my life. I'd only consider that if it was an overnight deal, where liquor was served past 3, and the ration of women to men was about 5:1.
Aside from strip clubs every place I've ever been to with a cover charge had better priced drinks than anywhere around.
Exactly. I don't like the Peacock attitude in those testosterone filled slaugherhouses filled with losers.
my idea of going to a club, is the monthly meeting of a model railroad club or a science fiction society. the guest lists to those are called memberships, and visitors are usually more then welcome. appropriate atire is generally causual, or something you'd wear arround the house that you wouldn't mind getting messed up working on something, although for the sciffy/furry/alternative history roll playing/et.c. get togathers, dressing up, or better yet, dressing other then human, (in ways accurate and specific to the context) is often encouraged and greatly enjoyable. =^^= .../\...
i didn't realize that such establishments actually existed outside of tv... so it's not even an actual guest list, just a reservations list? and if you don't have a reservation, they make you pay $30 to stand in a long line? and people actually do this voluntarily?
I've never seen a $30 cover charge, and most places I'm familiar with are $15 or less. One of my favorite places, Neon Cactus, charges < 10 and you get .25 cent beers and $1 mixed drinks in giant cups while you're there.
the only place around here with a cover that i've been to other than to see a show charges i think 5 or 6 dollars to get in, and they have 50 cent 6 oz. drafts...
