America is more like fucking your sister. She's not the hottest thing, shes usually a huge bitch(and tells on you alot), but it's all we've got for the moment.

 

there are a lot of places, or probably are, i'm reasonably certain i'd be much happier living (or at least less ashaimed to). but i'm afraid to mention any of them, because everytime anyone does, america goes there and destroys it. or rather, the international corporate mafia, backed by the american military, seems to. but then concidering as how, it is the corporate mafia's own corporate media telling us how it so invincably does so, perhapse even that needs to be taken with at lest something of a grain of salt.

no actually that's another of the pet myths of the corporate mafia, who vulturelike, swoop in to exploit their suffering with userous LOANS. loans which bankrupt those countries the next day, make them have to close their schools and hospitals and railways and essentially screw themselves, in order to pay them back. nor is the percentage of its gnp, invested in doing so, the largest among nations that actually DO help out. the actual numbers, in example after example, are that even places like japan, india, sweden, places that can, and even places you never imagine could, like cuba even, all, actually, in relation to their capacities, do more, much much more.

OK, first off, I never said fuck all Americans, I said, Fuck America. As anybody who has seen me post on here regularly can see, I'm not an anti-American. Yes, I do hate the country's politics, and the insistent righteousness of her politicians who are fucking the world twice over for their own gain, but I also realise that that does not mean all of her inhabitants are of the same persuasion.

I should explain the origin of my thread. Yes, I wanted to vent. I was fucking furious when I posted this. A really good friend here, who has just graduated from uni with first class honours in English and has a contract to start work for an American-Thai company here in Thailand in Sep, has been applying for a tourist visa for the last month.

She is from a poor backround but has managed to scrimp and save to get the required amount in her bank account to pass the financial security requirements of the American Immigration authorities. She does not want to work there. Indeed, she had no real ambition to go there until her boyfriend's brother invited her to his wedding. She had all of the required documents, enough money, sponsors in America and Thailand, and even a letter from Senator Leahy, requesting due consideration to be taken of her application.

She went to Bangkok for the interview at the embassy, paid the astronomical application fee, and then was directed to a window. The fuckwit cashier glanced at her documents and refused her application on economic grounds. Basically, she's not rich enough to be a tourist in the US. The whole process took a little over a minute, costing the equivalent of 6 weeks of her father's salary. She was upset to say the least.

Amazingly, the same documents seem to be enough for Australia and NZ, where she will be going next month on a study/tour scholarship...

When she asked about an appeal procedure, she was told that there is none. She could apply again, paying again of course, if she felt hard done by.

So I feel entirely justified in my opening statement and also in the following one.

FUCK YOU AMERICA!!!
