The possibilities are endless. Everything from as great as the entire economic restructure to the smaller things, like the varies pollutions to choose from, can be song material. The best and most impactable way to present these to the public is in a positive fashion--tell them what TO do, not simply complain about the way it is.
I chose music because I want to attract musicians, although I'm certain the political forum is very interesting and I appreciate the advice because I am new at this. I'd like to take a look. Another reason is there is usually so very much negetivity involved in peoples writings and I hate feeling lost in it and overwhelmed by it myself to the point that I cannot think creatively enough to keep it positive myself. I figure a fresh look to the proper sources should help make some affect.
I am sure that the positive thinking angle would be helpfull to politicians as well, but most of them don't even know what to do in the first place. It is a fiscal job to most of them, how to allocate monies. Creating positive change doesn't appear to be in their realm, the job takes up so much of a person's thought space that you'd almost have to be not paying somebody to do it so the angle of payment doesn't interfere. Furthermore, you should also start with someone who has learned to budget tight for long periods of time to find someone who is economically/ecologically inclined (since the two usually go together). Musicians usually start out poor, have a strong urge to make positive change (a promisable future--what could be more important?), and the poetic finesse' to make it go over. I think the political forum is a waste of my time and effort. But feel free to share.
