for the past week or so the bottom part of my left bicep has been twitching almost non-stop. It is very annoying i'm just wondering if anyone knows the cause and/or remedy for a constant arm twitch.

I dont think it's going away any time soon, it sucks

it wil go away.. Ive had slight twitches before..

    Alternative Names
    Muscle fasciculation; Fasciculations of muscle
    Considerations
Muscle twitching is the result of minor local muscle contractions or the uncontrollable twitching of a single muscle group served by a single motor nerve fiber or filament.

Muscle twitches are minor and often go unnoticed. Some are common and normal, while others indicate a neurologic disorder.

    Common Causes
Benign twitches (not caused by disease or disorders)
Often affecting the eyelids, calf, or thumb
Normal and quite common, often triggered by stress or anxiety
    A diet deficiency
    Drug overdose (caffeine)
Drug side effect (such as diuretics, corticosteroids and estrogens)
    Exercise
Symptoms suggestive of a neurological cause of fasciculations include:

    Wasting of muscle
    Weakness
    Other findings of nerve dysfunction
Neurological illnesses where fasciculations are seen include:

Chronic denervation of muscle due to disk compression of nerve exiting the spinal cord
    ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease)
    Spinal muscular atrophy
    Muscular dystrophy
    Myopathy
    Home Care
There is usually no treatment necessary.

accually Ive had relief from twitching from caffiene..
maybe you need caffiene? like a fix.. like it says anxiety can cause it, But I can cure my anxiety with a ice cold soda? I dont know if that helps ..

    That happens to me too.

I asked the dr and he said it was from stress. Something about a chemical buildup when your stressed and it causes a (any) muscle to twitch.

And i noticed that next time it happened, i was really stressed the day before!

Don't worry, unless it happens all day, every day! Then worry and go see a dr!

    ;)
