The Keeper...ow...no...help...wtf??

So, I'm a virgin, and I made the ingenius decision to buy a keeper a few weeks ago. Well, now I'm finally getting to use it, and it will NOT fit! I got the size B, the smallest they had. I kinda knew it would be an issue, but I thought I would at least be able to fit it in....nope, my vadge has other ideas. I tried for half an hour, and I used lube, but I've given up for tonight. I feel discouraged. I was kinda hoping I could prep it...kinda like vagina boot camp...so that when I do eventually have sex it won't hurt so much. I'd rather put myself through this pain, because I can't imagine a guy putting me through this kind of torture without punching his face in.

The only other idea I had was to jill off and try it then, but I'm not even horny now. And it's not like I can jill off every time I have to change it. And by tomorrow it might be too messy to try....wahh!! I feel so discouraged. I was just trying to help the environment! Any words of wisdom? Tell me this gets easier...it's making me never want to have sex...ever.

 

So......... what's a keeper?

 

It's this rubber cup you insert into your vagina on your period and it catches the blood and you empty it every so often. It's a re-usable alternative to throwing away pads and tampons every month.

I would never use a keeper. Not even tampons. I only use pads.

 

I don't have one but I am planning on getting one soon. I am going to need the giant "after baby" size...

Are you folding it over tightly before trying to put it in? Have you used tampons before? If not, maybe try inserting those to get ready for the keeper...

 

Before I lost my virginity I couldn't use tampons so it makes sense. But yeah I guess its good to prep yourself hah

 

You just might have to give it up and use pads or tampons. We have a diva cup version called Instead. I tried those, and I coughed and the mofo slipped out. not for me thanks. Hell, sometimes I have a hard time with tampons and I'm no virgin. I cant do pads. I couldn't just sit there with it blood tricking out of my body and then sitting on it for any period of time.

 

I've considered getting one, and I might at some point, seems a little more environmentally friendly. I use tampons at the moment, but what puts me off is that sometimes my body decides to tense up and I can't get a tampon in (and in some cases out) and I have to wait. I really don't want to put it up there and discovering my body has decided to hold it prisoner!

 

thats happened to me before. hurts like a bitch to pull out a dry tampon.

 

eeek thats how I feel... i hate pads, i also hate dealing with tampons... and i've actually never even thought about trying it till now bc I would be worried about it falling out or leaking.... how often does that actually happen?

maybe I'll try it though. if it works it would be much better than messy tampons...

 

not to hijack the thread... but anybody whos familiar with the divacup.. which size should I get? I'm only 22 but I've had a c-section. no vaginal deliveries. The website I should get the 2nd size but i'm a fairly small girl...
