maybe they have cases of MREs.

I like the foxfire books they are full of old timey ways of survival.
I am planting a bigger garden this yearand canning my own beans.

 

from experience,, reading a book is no substitute for hands on actual doing..
and NOTHING ever goes the way the book says it should..

that is why i am not real big on books..
to many people read a few books then think there experts on the subject,,cause "{the book said thats how you do it"..

that is a pet peeve of mine.. "ive read lots of books on the subject"..

pffft.. there is NO substitute for hands on expereience..

PUT THE BOOKS DOWN AND PROCEED TO THE OUTDOORS..

if you ever want to piss me off,, when im out working on a project,, be sure and say "well the book says",,

chances are,ill promptly shove that book right up your ass...

ohh,, and boycott foxfire!!! the author spent all those years in the mountains molesting children..yep,, its true ,dont believe me? look it up..

i refuse to support books that have such a dirty secret behind them,,no matter how informative they are..

yeah its swept under the rug pretty far.. i live about 60 miles as the crow flies from the area where he was.. i do A LOT of work over that way.. it is indeed,,"A DIRTY LITTLE SECRET"..

couple years back there were still articles on the web about his trial etc..
just google his name and child molester...
