is it possible at all to determine this at all in the veg state of growth if so when can i determine this all my plants are growing in one small area and i want to remove all males so that there is no chance what so ever of breaking open the male pollen sacks if this is not able to be determined during the veg state when i know it is a male should i put a trashbag over the plant then take it out?

Yes, preflowers will show either male or female - usually. Sometimes you have to watch them the first couple of weeks into the 12/12 flowering cycle.

IF you can catch the males before they open you are ok - just get them as far away as you can. Sometimes even another room doesn't stop the pollen.

You can always take a clone each and put them into the 12/12 cycle to determine sex while waiting for the mommas to grow larger.

Generally males will also show before females and will be structurally taller than the females.

^ Very True. If you do wait until inducing flowering for sexing - the males do tend to grow taller faster (dropping pollen from above).

I got some ??s for you ole Cool one :) Off to your section I go!

No, growth rate can vary between the plants some are more vigorous than others (genetics, light intensity - under the light or off to the side, etc..). You have to wait a bit. When alternating nodes appear the plant is mature and should present preflowers.

When you start the 12/12 cycle the males want to grow taller than the girls to be able to fullfill their destiny - pollinate the girls. That IMO is where the growth in height is more noticable.
