Keep an organical/natural diet. I can send you some links but we'll start with mothernature.com. Practice feng shui. Your body is your temple and in order for you to feel your soul through your mind, it's best to leave things pure. Reiki, is amazing. I love it. As for spirituality, you should always, always have a teacher to help your focus.
I'm glad to see you're still hanging with us, windy. I'll check out that book on Amazon - maybe tomorrow...
This sounds like taking your consciousness out of your mind, thoughts, ego, and into spirit to me. I think maybe I'm already doing a little of this at times. Not sure how good I am at it yet. I'll keep it up, and make more of an effort to do it increasingly more of the time. Do I shoot for being in this state ALL of the time? Thanks so much for the explanation on this! Another question. Do I make an effort to correct-reprogram the voice I am listening too if think it is unhealthy-inappropriate? Or, does passive, neutral, observance eventually do the job all by itself? I'm used to being told that I need to hands on proactively bring about change in myself. Not observe myself and just let it happen. BUTTERFLY I am already tending to my diet. With my sensitivities I have no choice. Though my situation at the moment gets in the way of keeping it organic, as I would like. I do include some Reiki in my efforts, and yeah, I love it too. I am aware of feng shui, but don't have enough knowledge to practice it. I think I would need some local help with that. Thnaks for the link, it looks like will be useful. Cool as they come! Thanks everyone for all the insights, enlightenment, and book suggestions. What a great response.
Here is a few simple rules of feng shui.. Things should be clean. Always, the toilet the counters, all of it. And it should be kept clean. Plants, the color green is often used in feng shui, and actually in chromotherapy, the color green would be connected to the heart chakra as it is a gentle, harmonizing color. It also promots detoxification of the body and is very relaxing. However too much will make you insecure, jealous, and possibly lazy. Your bed should be facing a door if it has a headboard. The space around the main door of the house should be completely clear. Have your window open twenty minutes a day. Never have too much things. If there is too much clutter in your house, there is too much clutter in your life. No TV in the bedroom. There should never be mirrors around the bed. For some reason it can attract a third party to the relationship. They always say to have a mirror at the end of your hallway. I'm not sure why exactly, but in Feng Shui there's a lot to do with mirrors. Such as putting a mirror behind your stove so you can see when someone is behind you, and for some reason they always want to know whats behind them. I don't do that part, but it's a fun thing to think about doing. Also the prosperity frog, is to go in your living room, you might want to google that. It's to bring in more money. The bed itself, is also very important, you spend 8 hours in it don't you (and maybe more..)? Well for your sex life.. it's important to have very "sensual" bedding. The regular 75 dollar comforter from walmart is never a good idea. Treat yourself, and treat the laaaaaaadyyy- no is. Just lady. Ladies just leads to trouble and negativity in your life. I spent about 30 dollars on my old comforter, but now our comforter set on our bed is about.. 200-300 dollars. They say pink and red are good colors for your romantic life but I would be careful with that. Some people react differently to the color red, like my husband, it doesn't make him romantic at all, he just gets angry. Peonies symbolize good luck and a happy marriage. Open shelves in your office is a bad thing. You should always have a kind of desk that will keep these closed. They say to place a picture of a mountain in front of you in an office as well. Just a few things.
hey zen, you will when you read the book. I was the same as you, but now i'm more aware of what is real and which is not. please both of you read the book.
[S I G H] Okay fine, I guess I need to get this book, and maybe even read it. But if it isn't as good as you say I warn you: I will come back and taunt you.
lol god your quick i was just posting the last post, not realizing you were posting i wern't being sarcy, just lighthearted fun hence the wink.
Butterfly, Thanks for the feng shui info. It gives me a lot to work with. As far as picture of a mountain behind what might be considered my "work space", I do have a window with the whole Sierra Nevada range behind my computer desk. Will that work?
It has to be a poster or painting, mojave - I'm afraid the mountain range will have to go. Isn't that right, FB?
Oh you guys I almost forgot... http://eckhart-tolle-forum.inner-growth.info/ There are good folk on here that can answer your questions compassionatley that are way more experienced in this stuff than I.
You know Eden, I read through a few threads on that forum, and I've spent quite a bit of time thinking about this when I should have been working, and I've come to a conclusion. Maybe it's only a temporary conclusion, but it's what I think now, and it has a strong feeling of rightness to it. Nothing against you, Eden - I actually like you quite a bit, and I do believe you have some insights from this Eckhart stuff. But I realized that so far, you really haven't said anything to indicate to me that you have what I'm looking for, and I believe I would know if you did, because I've had lots of experiences with people who did have what I'm looking for. Life is short and time is limited, and I'm tired of following dead-end roads. So unless I see something more than what I've seen so far, I think I'm going to give Eckhart a miss for now.
Yeah well, in spite of deciding to blow it off, I've been finding myself unable to think about much else for the past couple of days, so I guess the committee of me is still at odds about its decision...
