a couple of books that really helped me in pregnancy.... The Continumm Concept Anything by Ina May Gaskins Anything by Dr. Sears I read constantly when pregnant (there should be no such thing as an uninformed mother in my opinion)....there is a great forum for you to join if you want.... MotheringDotCommune and of course...there are a bunch of mommas here (myself included) who are open to any questions you might have along the way congrats again! i can't wait to see some baby belly pictures....
oh i got most of the way through ina may's guide to childbirth and i've been looking through spiritual midwifery which is really informative. my mom loved what to expect when expecting so she's mailing her copy to me. i'll check those other books out, thanks scarlet i love to read and have four hours of commute everyday so i have lots of time to do it
Congratulations, Tigerlily. You'll be such a good momma! As much as people rave about the "What to expect..." books, I have to say I thought they gave you basic "no duh" information and then did a lot of fear-mongering.
eek, okay i'll keep that in mind. And thanks how's Moire doing? I haven't seen any recent pics.. actually i haven't talked to you in years i think... sheesh, she's almost two right?
I'd say make it happy celebration. If you dread on it and make it sound depressing, then people will be like "oh no". But if you make it happy, they'll be like "OMG". Take the family to a restraunt. Tell the waitress before hand. Have her bring out a dish, with a pair of baby booties.
I should have responded sooner, because you already told everyone and now my advice is worthless. Dangermoose, welcome to the papa world. Congrats to you both.
