Alright everyone. I've been wanted to tell this story for almost 3 months now, but I have been waiting for my legal case to conclude, just in case, and so I could include the out come in this story. Februrary 28th, 2008, I was arrested at a local drugstore pharmacy attempting to pick up a forged prescription for 90 perc 10/325's. Although I might have succesfully completed this scam several times prior to this (I won't go into detail here because I was not charged with previous accounts) something went wrong this time, and the doctor was contacted, attested that the prescription was fake, and requested that anyone attempting to fill it be detained. I was taken to the _____ City Jail and spent a night there before my arraingment, when my bond was set at $2000 and my friend got the cash together to bail me out. A week later, I was called into court and charged with 1 count of a class 5 felony (second to lowest class for all you non-legal, non-criminal types) which in _____ County comes with a max penalty of 3-5yrs in DOC. I hired a great lawyer, thank god, although she was relatively inexpensive ($3500 retainer, $150 an hour - total legal fees I spent on the case = $2450) she knew her shit. I explained to her that I had a legit medical reason for narcotics and that I became dependant on the drug and then my PM doc started to drop my dose and I got desperate (which was true). She contacted the DA assigned to my case, and they worked out a plea bargain: I recieved a 2 year assignment to supervised probation in _____ county, with mandatory drug treatment (which includes NA and regular urinalysis). However, no jail time, and the sentance was what is called "Deferred Judgement". That means that when the probationary period is completed successfully, the charges are dropped and my records (including the arrest reccords) are permanently sealed pending the commitment of another crime. That means in about a year an a half this case dissapears entirely and although I COULD have been convicted of a felony, instead I will have no criminal record whatsoever. Ahh, thank god for lawyers. What will be interesting to all you opiate users here is that I was actually able to forge prescriptions for a schedule II drug successfully. Although the eventual cost was probably not worth it (when I was in jail I had mad WD's and thought I was going to die, all alone in a grey concrete cell, puking in metal toilet without a fucking seat), the initial success made it pretty cool. I would not suggest that ANY of you go out and try forging prescriptions. However, I thought you all would be interested to know that it IS in fact possible, though I really wouldn not reccomend that anyone try it. Getting caught (which is inevitable) is not worth the benefits. What I find particularly fascinating is that there is a big gap in security for prescription drugs, and that gap is the written prescription itself. While doctors can refuse prescriptions to those who exhibit drug seeking behaviors, and while pharmacies are very secure and relatively impossible to steal from, pieces of paper with signatures on them are a relatively easy thing to fake, and the fact that prescription pads/paper are not standardized means that pharmacies have no REAL way of deciding weather or not a prescription is real without actually clearing it with a doctor. However, most doctors offices close around 6, while pharmacies generally are open till 9. What happens if a prescription needs to be checked with a doctor but the pharmacist cannot get in touch with him/her? They fill your prescription anyway. If I were the government, I would fix things so that it wasn't so easy for an amateur photoshop user to create/alter prescriptions and obtain controlled substances with almost no significant effort. Hope you all enjoyed the story. If any of you have similar experiences with the law and opiates, or if you want to comment or ask questions, please respond! -V
man thats pretty lucky if all u got was 2 year probation, especially with oxycodone. there treatin that shit serious down here. anyways glad to here u came off scot free accept for that bout with withdraw.
Dude thats awsome how you faked your prescriptions. I'm also on 2 years probation right now (I just got out of jail in january), but mine was for selling weed and xanax, and violating a probation that I was previously on for dealing in stolen property... yeah, thats when I was younger, stupider, and crazy. Anyways, I have great computer skills, including photoshop, and if I wasnt on probation I might attempt what you did. But hell nah not right now, I get caught doing ANYTHING illegal I'm goin to prison for another two years. AND FUCK THAT. I rather wait till Jan 2010 when I'm off probation to even consider it. Besides, I got a good link right now for opiates. This girl I know gets 180 30mg Roxicodones a MONTH! She sells em to me for 10 each which is pretty good, but tomorrow we're gonna make a deal cuz I decided to buy a boatload off of her, I think somethin like 100 or so, and she might give em to me for 7 each, hopefully I could talk her down to 6 each. Thats fucking awsome! $6 for roxi30! practically a steal!
wow K, how long were you in DOC? Glad to hear you are layin low now. Last thing you want to do is get put back inside now. how did you get caught selling? AND, that is an AMAZING deal on your roxi's. like I said before, I wouldn't reccomend forging prescriptions, but I figured people on this forum would be interested in answering the perpetual debate about whether or not it is possible to pull something like this off. there are a couple things that are crucial about the process without which there is no way this would work, but I'm not looking to try to create an instruction manual for how to commit a felony on this thread. -V
Okay, here's a timeline: From June2007-October2007, I was doing nothing but selling drugs, (I was going to college too), But in October 2007, after a long court battle, I finally took a plea for 18 months probation. I was still selling weed and bars, but since I was on probation I said fuck it I would only sell to smoke for free. So intead of holding down half pounds of chronic and hundreds of bars, I was only holding a half ounce ($150 worth) and a few bars... 22 days into my probation, I guess I got snitched on and my house got raided. What i said above that I was holding down is all the found, thank god cuz if I was still holding mad weight like before I'd be in jail still, not here writing this message. LMAO my mom told me that when the detectives were tearing my room apart and they found a puny half ouce, the got pissed as fuck cuz they had heard I hold holding mad weight in my house. Luckily I got rid of all that shit in time. So anyways, in early November 2007 I got locked up for several charges, I wasted all the money I made selling to pay a fuckin lawyer to get me out. Anywho, I got out in January 2008 (so I only served like 3 months, but it felt like 6!) on the condition that I comply with a sentence to 2 years probation.
Consider it a second chance that you got off easy. Not trying to sound like your parents, but it sure sounds like you've headed down one bad path...a drug addicted felon withdrawing in jail is about the lowest of the low that it gets in this world. Don't get no lower than that. And don't for a second tell me your not addicted (saying you talked up the addiction part), because you are. Anybody that would forge a fake prescription and take the chance of spending years in prison, is driven by more than the urge for a recreational high. I'd enjoy a percocet right now, but I'm not about to call in a fake prescription. I also think its pathetic that you've told everybody that its easy to forge prescriptions. Screw up your own life all you want--but now what if someone goes and tries it because you said it was easy? You essentially just dodged a bullet that could have landed you in jail for years, and now you're on a message board telling people how easy it is. Keep in mind--I say these things not to put you down. My intention is to try to knock some sense into you and save yourself from future misery. If you were smart and cared about your life, you would kick your addiction. I'm sure your not a horrible person, but addiction makes people do crazy things. I truly hope you do what you need to do to change your life around. Also, seems like there's ALOT of self-incrimination in this story. You better pray this somehow doesn't get traced back to you. Best of luck to you.
Thats a wild ass story haha. Congrats on getting a decent sentencing. So do you plan to actually stop using now?
TooCrisp, everyone makes their own choices and does whatever the fuck they want. Just because V is telling his story on these free speech message boards, and part of his story is that it just so happens that forging fake prescriptions isn't as impossible as people might have thought doesn't mean V is telling everyone to go fake prescriptions and go to jail. It's like I make a thread about how easy it is to get a gun and use it. I'm not putting a gun to someones head and forcing them to go get a gun and use it, I'm just talking about the fact. If you decide to go get a gun and use it and kill someone, that's entirely on you because you chose to read the thread, you chose to go get a gun, and you had the fucking balls to go and shoot someone. So back off man, to each his own. And it's called a conscience, which I'm sure V has one, that will lead him either down to the right path or the wrong. It's completely up to him. The only thing I feel you on is the addiction part, which might not be entirely his fault because he is really prescribed painkillers because he is in pain. One of the possible dangerous side effects is addiction. And about getting traced back to him, it won't because he payed a good lawyer to close his case. They're not going to reopen his case and start a new trial because of an internet post. It's not a murder investigation, no one even got hurt. If O.J. Simpson can publish a book about how he would have strangled the bitch after his murder trial, V and I can talk shit and laugh about how we got off easy. And if they did try to reopen his case, his lawyer would run laps around that with a big ass smile on his face.
Lawyers are the shit, I got arrested for weed two times in a week period, my lawyer got me off of both of them. Costs 1000 dollars though. Thats an awesome scam btw, too bad it ended up so messy. I don't think I could ever have the balls to do something like that. I've been thinking about trying to get a job in a pharmacy though, and do it from the inside.
^thats the dream my friend, thats the dream. If i was to get a job at a pharmacy omg I wouldnt even know what to do with myself, let alone all them pills that would soon be in my stomach.
Yea my one friend who is a few years younger than me works at a pharmacy and he gets to do inventory and deliverys. He's taken so many oxys and other types of pills, without a trace of them being gone.
^that's sweet. a cat i meet in jail had a pharmacist girlfriend. he told me that bitch would eat percocets lilke m&ms! and she would take all of 'em from her job! lucky bitch, and he's lucky too cuz he would just ask her for whatever he wanted whenever.
Hey man, I see what you are saying, but you have to realize I am not telling this story in order to instruct others to commit a crime. I simply told my story as both a cautionary tale and because I still find it odd how the system has so many holes in it. If you read closely, I repeatedly caution AGAINST what I did. But, in case it wasn't clear: Please, readers of this forum, Do NOT attempt to forge prescriptions. You will get caught. If not right away, then eventually. Plus it is an almost foolproof way to get yourself addicted, because having a virtually unlimited amount of pills means you WILL use more often than you intend until you get in over your head.
Oh, and to E: I have essentially stopped using except for medical reasons. I still maintain a prescription from my PM doc for 20mg oxy a day for pain, but my recreational pill use is over. I do drink pod tea every once in a while when I need to relax. -V
Mna V, Thats some crazy shit.. You don't know how many times I thought about it. But I knew where that path would lead me.LOL Anyway good to see your ordeal is over and your on the right track. I still think your a good person, Its crazy what drugs can do to a person. Drugs can make any person do shit they would normally not do.. Hang in there and keep your head up high... PEASE OXY
I wonder how your friend gets away with it. Especially getting them from the Pharm. I thought they kept tight count control on those kinds of meds.. It's to bad though, Cause your friend is ending up with a real mean Monkey on his back...
Here in California they have a heat sensitive area the "RX" on the script actually disapears when you put your thumb on it and reapears after a short bit. In the end it like you said it isn't worth it. They are getting smarter lol
