I am looking for advice on where to go to get a back pack for travelling. You know, one of those huge ones that can fit two months worth of stuff required for travel.

    Any good websites?

I am looking for a website that offers good customer support, cheap shipping and decent return policies, as well as a price that won't break the wallet and all the obvious stuff.

I would like to find a bag under 100, any ideas? I don't think I want to get a bag off ebay or amazon btw, that is out of the question. I need to know that I can return the bag if it does not suit me.

One beautiful, magical, mysterious, and promising word:

    Ebay.

Search for "internal frame backpack". Try to stick to name brands.

Army surplus. One of those military bags are like santa clauses toy bag, bottomless.

Plus you can get a survival kit in a can, which might come in handy some day.

    +1 for army surplus

    ebay army surplus

military stuff tends to be really rugged and hardwearing, and comfortable.

if u get a bergen they often have zip-off side section s that can be used as day sacks and stuff.

some military bags come in black or khaki too if u dont fancy the camo ;)

yah but I said I didn't want ebay in the OP....to risky for something like this, no return policy in case I don't like it.

I mean, for something like a CD or nintendo game, sure, but not something that will likely cost 100 bucks.

Are you serious? Ebay is extremely risk proof.

Humans are awfully honest while being watched. I've ordered a bunch of shit off ebay and have never been ripped off, also sold plenty of things on it. Hell, I don't buy anything in stores anymore. I'd rather support a person who is selling something that is 2nd hand than some corporation. Some of my musician friends order 1000$ worth equipment off ebay and never get ripped off. The shipping policies are fair. Make sure to pay insurance on expensive items.

    eBay is awesome.

why not go to an actual store, try out some packs, see what you like/fits you/etc...then find it online

I guess that going to a store would be a good idea.

Nothing will really run you over 100$ in a store, unless you need some truly badass backpack... but honestly, any backpack will get worn out from travel.

that's a pretty good pack. dave needs a new one. he still has the frame from his old one, but he's converted it for hauling meat out of the field. it's awfully nice. but now that he doesn't have a camper anymore, he needs a good frame pack.
