actually i'm not sure about wild parsnip... wild parsnip is pretty dangerous.. completely different than poison ivy.. wild people are allergic to the oils of poison ivy.. the sap from wild parsnip can lead to some serious burns... its activated by the sun.. and causes the skin to burn.. seriously burn.. its not an allergic reaction... so you may be able to burn that...

Why wouldn't you want poison ivy all around? Keep the area as impassable/nasty as possible. The worse it is the more likely a harvest. Unless you have some monster 4-5' poison ivy bushes I do not see how the p.ivy "oils" would get transferred, unless you drag your 5' plants on the ground. The easier it is for you the easier it is for LEOs and rippers.

animals rubbing up against it... hard rains... the oils can get passed easily.. i mean someone who is allergic to poison ivy can have a break out with the slightest touch..

I know, but I have to believe the chances are fairly remote. Its usually a low growing weed and that would have to be one helluva rain, if anything the oils would be washed and diluted towards the ground. I've been through patches of the stuff and the surrounding brush and trees were fine to stumble against and lean on, but yeah the lower pantlegs and boots would set off the rash and itches. :)

the poison ivy and weed plants wont actually cross genetically, but i definately would get your weed the fuck away from that stuff. cuz the oils from the poison ivy will stay on the stalk if it gets on it and could really fuck someone's lungs up

I also recently transplanted my plant (Early Skunk feminized) to the middle of a poison ivy field. It was durring the night. This is when I do most of my outdoor gardening so I was unable to recognise the plant in due time to stop the urishirol-oil from bonding to my skin cells. Note* Urisheral must be washed with soap within 2 minutes to prevent from contracting severe rashes! Antiseptic soap works best and is fairly cheap. The result-One hellacious case of poison Ivy that continually worsened due to the unknowned fact that the oil can stick to clothing and objects for up to two years while remaining active. There are many topical sollutions out there to prevent itching and scratching but only two semi-cures, anti-histimines and for severe cases, steroids such as prednisone. The best cure is to learn to identify it and stay away from it. While searching for a cure I stumbled accross Edgar Casey's method of dilluting a small amount of the immature plant (early in the year) into a tea thus slowly raising your bodys immunity to it before the plants get mature later in the year and begin to sucrete large hazardous amounts of Urishera. Just the way snake handlers build an immunity to the venom, controlled amounts, they start with a pin prick and gradually increase thier intake. Many mollecules of the chemical will naturally bond to my Early Skunk from rain, animals humidity and possibly the soil. My plan is to create a semi-medicinal variety of bud that I can personally smoke at controlled amounts to gradually increase my tollerance to Urishera containing plants. The only hazzards I foresee are skin contamination (not washing my hands after handeling) and the possibilty of someone finding these buds and smoking a lethal amount which could possibly shut down vital organs. I'm very susseptable to poison Ivy and I get it every year so I am quite desperate to find a cure.
