I've been thinking about getting a tatoo w/ a specific art style, and while it looks good on paper- I really wonder how this type of art would translate onto my body. Here's the art: Notice the brush strokes? I'm fond of the specific water color look of these but I haven't seen them done properly in a tattoo. Has anyone seen something similar to this done, and it turn out looking good? Is it possible for a needle to make those ink brush stroke lines? As much as I want a tatoo like this, it could turn out horrible and I assume the chances of that are high.
find a good tat artist, one who specializes in traditional japanese style, and it might work out okay. i think you could end up with a kickass tattoo, but you gotta make sure it's the right artist or it'll be nasty ass! good luck
Those could look very cool. My suggestion is to choose location where you can make the tattoo fairly large. It is hard to capture details like brush strokes in smaller pieces. If it were small, it would likely end up looking fuzzy andd nnot good. But, yes, make sure to find an amazing artist, or it'll look likeshit.
Thnaks for the replies all. I think I will look for a good artists who could do it. Wow, that looks great! Didn't know if it could be done, nice.
